RDP San Felipe 2024!!

Irwin’s 6.0 ford was acting up on the way down and when we stopped it wouldn’t start again. We wrapped a gas soaked rag around the air filter and got it running. This is how we start the truck now.. lol.

Night one ended at 4 am lol. It’s nuts down here at 3-4 am there’s lots of little kids out.

I didn’t bring the registration for the kids quads so I bribed the cops lol..

Day 2! Blew a belt on the turbo s.. (belt was new motor is new).

Had a blast running the beaches and going to the strand.

Last pic is the neighborhood cat.. he was here three years ago when we were here as well. Smartest fucking cat ya ever seen.

So I was running 80’sh mph down by the water and went through a water crossing and drenched the car.. after that it went into a limited boost mode.. so I loaded it up and took it to Ensenada to meet up with the speed race team.

That was 4 1/2 hours each way.. lol. But we got to see some rad shit on the trip! I also understand why people say you don’t drive Baja at night.. lol. I saw some amazing and sketchy shit!

They fixed it in 30 minutes and we were back on the road to San Felipe after they arrived.

I don’t know how anyone can’t love this.. San Felipe is epic.. fucking love it

I was watching my kids ride on the beach and get shells, swim in the warm ocean.. brought a tear to my eye.. I am so happy that I can provide the same experiences that I grew up with.

Mike sky ranch or bust!!! We planted fuel out there the day before for the round trip..

Turns out 40 miles in we went bust.. lol.

Ball joint failed but with some minimal tools and a big rock we were able to get it changed! 3 fucking hrs but we got it done and we didn’t bitch out we went the other 100+ miles round trip.

Love riding to Mike's Sky Ranch.

A couple years ago, we came up the backside on Dirt Bikes. That is one rocky ass trail. Tons of fun though!

It's the Melacon, not the strand.
It's the SEA, not the Ocean.

So were the Morgan updates good with running a windshield the entire trip? Heard it was hot as balls while you were there.

That may be the cleanest/clearest/bluest I've ever seen Mikes pool. It's always cloudy and a hint a green.

… Used to have so much fun in San Felipe… Motorhome, Yamaha XT 500… Girlfriend …would park the motorhome right next to the bar… A convenience idea
… Would ride the motorcycle down to a backstreet and buy a 20 case of corona well used bottles for about maybe five dollars maybe six dollars… And when you brought the empties back, you got a dollar and a quarter back…

Did you have any extra steps crossing with an enclosed trailer vs the guys with open trailer ? See a lot of guys cross with open trailer’s and was curious if there was a reason.

I was thinking the same thing about the pool. I’ve been to Mike’s Sky Ranch at least 15 times and I’ve never seen the pool blue lol

Mama Espinoza’s son, Oscar, is our chase vehicle driver when we’re racing. The stories he’s told over the years is incredible. I was with him at the NORRA 500 finish line last weekend.

The places RD is staying in were Definitely not there at that time!

We went mid summer, and the heat and humidity sucked bad!!!

Loved that taco place after a day of riding and a night at the Bar, I remember you had to bring your own beers, used to have a blast down there in the 80's and early 90's. Not the same anymore, the taco stand is gone, not even a building there now But Miramar is and I went in for a drink

I love the beach at night.. in some of the darker shots you will see a couple lights pretty far out that is the kids out hunting for shells.
