I have no idea what I was trying to say here. Just know that if I'm posting after midnight it's probably alcohol fueled and complete bullshit.

Awesome! I've seen or heard of it before. Where did you get it? HappyGirlHappyWorld! Thnx for the tip!
My dog, Mr Wilson, did some wine tasting last Thursday night at the local Italian restaurant and brought home this fine, 88' Chianti. He polished off the entire bottle while watching Pitbulls and Paroles, and is now sawing some logs on the couch....I wish he would stick to beer...

Nice! TY!Trader Joes
Grifone, the Sangiovese or the Primitivo. $3.99 Great wine for the price.
Trader Joe's has an ancient vine zinfandel that was phenomenal for $20.
Cab Franc and I get along really well. Flora springs in Napa make my favorite so far.

Where should I start.....:hmm
Actually I'm a huge fan of Red Blends.....Meritage for CA Wines and Bourdeaux for French.
On the CA side I really Like Paradigm, but tonight I'm actually sipping on a 14 Hands Cab from Washington......very nice for the price
No offense to Mr.BallerPantsPablo. This is the shit my BrokeDik ass is lookn for! Thanx!
No actually I didn't take it that way at all........it's just that sometimes people think drinking wine is complicated.......just drink what you like and enjoyGreat post! I meant no disrespect@all Just goofing on me. Not u.
IVery cool view on your wine drinking ways!
They are getting replaced by Mascato in the market place, which is way to sweet for my taste. Chateaux st. Michelle makes a nice Washington Riesling.
You may have missed this as I didn't elaborate but................the 14 Hands Cab I was talking about here goes for about $6.99 a bottle..............90% of the time I'm drinking wine under $10 a bottle and there's no reason to spend big$$ (over $30 a bottle) unless it's a special occasion IMO.
As long as you're drinking what you like then it doesn't matter what it costs
Ignore the Flora Springs suggestion then...No offense to Mr.BallerPantsPablo. This is the shit my BrokeDik ass is lookn for! Thanx!

What do you like? Cab? Merlot? Zin?
Whites are for sorority girls.
No love for the Petite Sirahs, since they usually have the highest alcohol content?
One of my favorites is a zinfandel from A. Rafanelli in Healdsburg. It is a full bodied zin with really good plum and pepper flavors. The winery only sells to select restaurants and at the winery itself. If you ever go to Healdsburg make sure you do this wine tasting. It's appointment only and they usually only let you purchase a couple bottles at a time. It's about $25 a bottle.
Another favorite is an unknown winery called Hendry in Napa. They sell about 90% of their grapes to Opus one. They retain some of the grapes and make a wonderful Cabarnet. I believe you can order from the winery itself. Sells for about $35 a bottle, but well worth the money.
A few years ago I found another good wine from Hall in Napa. I was invited to a friends house for a wine tasting/CigarBBQ.
Everyone was supposed to bring a wine under $40. There were plenty of good bottles, but the Hall Cabarnet ended up being the favorite of the night.

Me and my business partner, Brent Melville, opened our tasting room last summer to an overwhelming response. Brent's family, Melville winery, has been doing this a long time so he has a great background in farming and wine making. Our 2013 Syrah just took a gold medal and best in class at 97 points in the L.A. international wine competition.
We'll see you next time we get up there!
Reach out to me before heading out so I can roll out the red carpet for you!

Anyone know of any vineyards on the west coast that grow the muscadine grape and make muscadine wine. They say the grape can be grown in CA, Or and WA but I can't seem to fine any west coast vineyards that grow muscadine grapes.
The grape is native to the southeast and is very high in antioxidants. My wife has bad arthritis in her hands and a glass a day of a muscadine wine seems to help her a lot. So I order it out of North Carolina by the case.

Katherine Hall is one of my favorites and the Zins from the Alexander Valley are awesome.............a friend of mine actually started a winery (started is a little misleading as he's 4th generation Healdsburg wine growers) taking on the family name Passalacqua Just down the road from the Dry Creek General Store, he makes some of the best old vine Zins that I have had........only sell at the winery, through their wine club and directly to a few of the better restaurants in the area. A visit to their winery is a must when in the area.........Ask for Jason when you're there, he's a great guy!!:cool
