...What am I missing here...how does that actually cover the hitch or the receiver???...

That’s just the face plate in op1 if machining. Still has another op to remove the square in the back and then it will have a deal that goes into the hitch of the truck.

...After studying it for awhile...kind of what I figured it would be...pretty cool...

RD. if you are serious about quantity, e mail me at [email protected] We can make most anything in aluminum even castings. I need a quantity , and your finish. You can have a number of finishes, powder, anodizing, maybe even more. I will get a cost for you and rock bottom pricing. It will take up to 2 months to make, and NOT from China.

I am quoting 5' tall, 4' and 5' wide all welded aluminum fencing now including powder coating for about the price of steel. Soon we will be the major aluminum player in Las Vegas for extruded aluminum products, not just Pergolas.

Red / yellow / blue / black / dark grey / primary colors

Keep in mind, Black is the only color anodizing that can be UV resistant...all the others will fade

Yes we can produce aluminum fence panels.

sorry but we’re not going have any inventory you would have to be a significant order email me if you have an interest or you’re a fencing contractor.
We even do fencing with spikes that are used in commercial installations on top of cinderblock walls 24 and 36 inch extensions, in addition to the ground mounted aluminum fencing .

Hey Keith, for the qtys We are running and the simplicity of the parts it would be tough to beat traditional machining.

View attachment 783894 Got it RD, we can do a casting and hand finish production, if this would work. And drawings just e mail me and in 48 hours I can tell u if it is possible, NC ever. And any laser work too for future products.

More RDP ideas;

Sorry for the bad photo, but this will be out in 7 weeks, laser cut 4‘ x 8‘ and 5’x 10’ View attachment 783894 aluminum panels for on top of patio covers or on to pose for yard art .

We could do it small or larger RDP yard art about 1/4” thick aluminum sheets so they could be even 1‘ x 2‘ things like that. Super hard alloy, does not flex.

I think I have an eight sheet minimum that would be a 4‘ x 8‘ sheet I can cut small pieces out of that. but that’s my minimum to program the laser cutter.

RDP yard art!!

Nice hitch cover!

I am looking at solidly north of 600 linear feet (possibly closer to 1000') of fence in the near future. Some privacy and some open. Do you have any pictures of what you have done?

Nice hitch cover!

Can’t see the pic. I might have a use for large metal rdp signs depending on the cost!

Sorry , here it is , should be about seven weeks I’ll have this in 5 x 10 and 4 x 8‘ were going to be up to 12 different designs by then. Which is plenty right now we’re at 250

As to fencing, here’s one image. email for quotes I have many different designs all powder coated with a number of colors available . Again lead time is about two months. Price quotes will only be given via email to a licensed distributor or contractor. This is a non-stocking item sold in large quantities but you do not have to order a full container we combine shipping all the time.

100% serious, I want one w/o the hitch part so I can bolt it to my truck tool box. I don't remove my hitch.

That wouldn't be a bad idea. Do a run of a couple with just a pair of blind threads on the backside.

Why round tube and not square?

Cost mainly.. Tyler spared virtually zero expense making these things.. Machining / Bright Dip / Type 2 Hard Annodizing etc.. he even went so far as to put adjustment holes in them..

image.jpg

It makes virtually zero difference if it's round or square in the receiver.

More efficient at rattling.

LOL... I love this place.. :D

Dave, remember 2002-2003-ish when you gave me a bunch of those billet iron cross hitch dealios to sell when you lived in C-bad? I hope sales go better this time;).

Except for the twist factor. How much clearance is in the pinhole?[/QUOTE]

Typical Hitch pin is .625 the clearance on these is .660. So you are looking at about seventeen thousandths a side for dirt / galling etc. It's tighter than what's on the receiver of your truck.

Already have.. LOL I haven't even put them online yet for sale and I got 20% of them sold.

RDP is a lot bigger than Hotboat was in terms of a website.

I hate to say it now (and didn't notice on the Aug post) but I think the design could of used a bit run down between the d & p to create a line there...

They came out very nice though...

I agree. To anyone not familiar with the place, it looks like no o. Somethings missing. Aside from that, they look great.

I gotta be honest, it looks nothing like it. Something is off like the vertical line on the d. I’m not sure what’s wrong with it.

I think it's the chamfer in the D and P. In print there is almost no radius and the leg on the P lines up to the outside of the D. In the metal it appears as though the chamfer starts at the same point so the "legs" are further apart so it makes the flat spot between the 2 wider.

At least I believe that's what you're seeing.

Agreed, also the R is an N based on the top radius.
