I've been running a little bit late on this, but it's time for the RDP Announcements!
THURSDAY STREET FAIR
We will be located in our same usual spot. For those that don't know where that is, we are located in between FUGS Bar & Legendz (Formerly Mad Dogs)
We will again be rolling out the Boom Bandits Stage, and this year we decided to have a little more "Fun" with the evening bands. We Hired "Electric Avenue"! They are an 80's throw back band that I saw awhile back at another event. They bring a lot of energy, and a lot of good times to their shows. Live Music Starts right at Sun Down and will continue on until 10-10:30 or when the cops tell us it's time to go.
This year we will again have POSITIVE TRIM right next to the RDP Booth, and we will also have Safe Glow Whips on the other side of the street.
FRIDAY - POKER RUN / RAFT UP
Last Years Raft up I think was location wise the best one we have ever done. The outcrop just North of where we were did a great job on cutting down on wakes as the traffic went by. This year it looks like they are bringing back the multi boat start, so it should be interesting to find out who gets to Card Stop 1 first. Located 1.5 miles north of the Pump Station this is about as good as it's going to get.
It looks like this year they pushed the time lines of the Poker Run back about an hour. The parade through the channel is going to start at 11:00, which would mean the Front runners should be leaving Thompson bay at around 11:20-11:30.
I would highly recommend getting to the south side of the lake and anchored up / rafted up by 11:00!!
Of course the RDP Helicopter will be coming by around 12:30 - 1:15 for the group Aerial shot!
On a side note we had to cancel the Friday Night Pre-Party at Wired 4 Sound. Adam got pretty sick over the boat show, and there's just not enough time to set it all up. Have no fear though, good things are still coming.
SATURDAY - AFTER PARTY!
9:00 PM until 2:00 am!!

Please remember that all of these locations have "capacity limits" and we have hit capacity the last 3-4 years straight. This year I have tried to gear this more towards just the RDP members and not all of Desert Storm, so we are giving wristbands out at the booth and not in all of the participants swag bags. That being said, I would fully expect this party to hit capacity as well! Please get there early (8:00-9:00). If you show up at 10:30 at night, I can't guarantee you will get into the place.
People have been telling me for the last two years to try a new location and get the After Party out of the Banquet Room to try something fresh. So this year we have secured the largest bar in the Shugrue Family - LEGENDZ. While the inside is smaller than the Banquet room, there is an outside patio setup with a complete wrap around bar which actually makes the facility about the same!
Because it's an actual bar, we will be staffed up with more Bartenders then ever before, and we won't be limited on the kinds of drinks attendees can order. Where as before we had to pick two brands of vodka and one brand of this and that type deal.
Another upside, is because it's an actual bar with 40+ thousand dollars of liquor on site, we shouldn't have too many problems with running out of anything.
Note they will be clearing all the tables and chairs out of this side and the front of the bar.
There will be sponsor tables / booths on this side of the bar.
I have to run a quick errand, but will be back to enter in the Sponsors of Not only the After Party, but the House boat as well!
