I have not seen many of these boats in the past. Where are they built and what were they designed for, river cruiser, race boat, ski, race ski?

What will this boat run with its setup currently?

Any specs on the engine would be appreciated as well....

Here are a couple of pix of the 21' Rayson/D'Cucci. It's one boat that does it all.

This particular boat came from the Johnny Whitset era of Rayson craft.

Mainly designed for racing at this point. Originally built as ski boats and river cruisers, then were used as ski race boats and then eventually gn race boats. If I'm not mistaken I believe this boat used to belong to pat Eason. The 24 boat in the picture above is ted kolbys that Joey cucci drives and has a mold to. As far as set up.... A lot of hours and assholes and elbows in that thing. It is a spec gn deal that runs small displacement for today's standard, i believe it's a 468, 871 blower running only 3% over and the boat probably runs right up around 115. Now not to say the one advertised will do that but enough time and dollars and dedication it could possibly get there one day as well. Hope the helps, they are great boats and I love mine.

Fat Elephant Bastard... Would love to get this boat for myself. I think a TT setup would fit real nice in that...

plain and simple, Im looking for a hotrod that floats. Im not planning on racing or even skiing behind the boat. Ideally I would love a 21RC but don't think I want to spend that kind of money of a turn key schiada. The boat will be used and stored in havasu, early morning or early evening runs is what it will be used for! I don't have the time or patience to build/restore something, so a turn key ride is what suits me best.

Would this boat be a wise choice for my situation? I can wait for the schiada of my dreams, but I know when it goes for sale, I wont want to fork over the high coin.

This boat used to be very wicked when it had the Hemi in it, I road in it many times. We built it to be a monster cruiser I can't say how it runs with the Chevy and I don't know what the inside of the hull looks like now but it would be my choice to do what you want as long as the stringers and floor still look good. This thing was and probably still is one bad boy.

I'm going to keep it. Had a buyer lined up but after talking to my buddies I'm going to take it all apart have the floors polished up, motor dynoed, repaint it, re speed coat the bottom, powder coat everything inside and new interior.

Almost was. I have a few ideas for it, it's paid for and and I'm getting bored having no projects at the moment plus dealing with all the strokers:thumbup: and tire kickers.
