Also, The Hat has awesome Buttermilk Ranch and it goes amazing with their fries and only their fries. Their fries don't taste good in any other ranch nor does someone else's fries taste good in their ranch. It's weird, I know.

my last designer sales guy, makes or used to make and bottle for sale his own blend of ranch with really small blue cheese bits in it. Up there in my all time favorite dressings, was good on fukin everything.

Definition of a "foodie"?

A foodie is a person having an avid interest in the latest food fads, unique culinary creations, and ingredients not typically in your normal or daily menu.

I dont think a foodie applies to ranch from Wing Stop or ranch from a fucking powder mix lol.

The real distinction in my opinion is what fat it is made with. Anything room temp on the shelf is made with vegetable oil and will need sweetener to hide the veg oil nasty taste. IMO the best ranch uses real buttermilk. Some restaurants do this, the ones that do it best are not chains and they make it onsite a new batch each week so it's fresh. HIdden Valley is the best mix of herbs and flavors in my opinion but you have to make it from the dry ingredients and do the buttermilk recipe.

I am a blue cheese fan but only have it occasionally. I never eat the bottle stuff, have to make my own with a quart of sour cream and a pint of blue cheese, best made the day before serving.
