They were just talking about him this morning on the news because today a well known artist started painting a large mural of him in E. LA today..geesh.

And at the office today we were also talking about him, "fernandomania" and also, "Mr October," from the last go-around years ago.

Damn. That really and truly sucks. 😡😰
I remember we all used to try to imitate him and his eyes.
All we ever managed to do was hit people with the ball.

He was dapper looking in retirement. Last interview we saw he wasn't looking too good.
Sad, brought lots of fun and energy to the games and was a really good person, very family devoted.

Gave the Giants fits....Usually a very low scoring game for both teams.

My FIL was good friend’s with Fernando and his family. I’ve met him a handful of times back when they golfed together at Montebello CC. I remember one time sitting there for HOURS drinking Miller Lite on ice listening to him tell stories. Man, 63 is too young.

I don't know how many games I went to when he was pitching but it was a lot. We had season tickets and went to majority of the home games. It's been so long I would of thought he was older.

RIP

Amazing talent...really helped to grow the Dodger fan base to the latin/hispanic community... man of few words but did his talking on the mound!

1981 was magical and Fernando was at the center of it. His pitching was awesome but he was a very handy pinch hitter too, used to get a big kick watching him. RIP #34

Not only a Latin influence in the Dodgers organization but the entire league.

As a little kid watching him play and learning the game he was larger than life to me to watch play the game.

The baseball community lost a great one and way too soon in life. 63 is still very young through my 45 year old eyes.

RIP Toro…
