Heading to Prescott to see some of the wife's family.

Leaving Havasu Friday afternoon coming back Sunday morning.

Anything we should try to see? Gun shops, bars, eatin' or drinkin' establishments?

We'll be staying a couple blocks from Whiskey Row.

Going to try and do the Granite Mountain Hotshot hike on Sunday morning.

Do the whole hot shot hike all the way to the bottom. Go early it will be hot. Take tissues.

Hassayampa Inn or Murphy’s for eats.

Wife hiked the GMHS recently, 7 miles round trip about (4) hours total. What 2Driver said.

If heading out 40, and down 89, watch the potholes on 40, and your speed down 89. The the patrolman on that stretch is a human version of the Sheriff from "Cars".

J&G guns is on that side of town, pretty decent inventory, and can go online and check them out.

I don't get out much, so not much help on the places for food and drink. Some of the old bars have some real history to them, like places Doc Holliday gambled in. Virgil Earp was a constable up here before some big thing down south🤣

If youre into history sharlotte hall museum i hear is neat ive been wanting to go. There's all sort of antique stores downtown.

Papa's Italian down town is top notch but call asap and make a reservation. Wife and i walked in a couple weeks ago and were amazed we got seated for 2.

Rosas Italian food is good to restaurant is loud though.

Lindo Mexico isnt too shabby.

Tacos and tequila is a place ive heard good things about.

Zekes eating place is awesome for breakfast bring your appetite or order a half.

If you have a sweet tooth there's an ice cream shop like the middle of whiskey row thats open kind of late so you can walk off dinner and get dessert.

Wife recommended the country seat for brunch and cocktails.

Theres also a fish fry at the restaurant out at lynx lake on Friday nights.

Granite basin lake is neat to walk around.

I agree with @monkeyswrench J&G gun sales is cool.

Summit 4x4 is there near by might get a cool shop tour.

You could rent kayaks on willow or Watson lakes.

Bucky's casino for your gambling fix they also have a nice restaurant.

Drive out Williamson Valley road

Back alley wine bar or the barley hound

Lazy G brewhouse or brewery... Ive heard mixed reviews

Thats my best list of things to do or see

I second Lazy G's Brewery, it's off Montezuma. If you go to Jerome, the Clinkscale has great food and atmosphere and you can't beat the view from The Asylum at the Jerome Hotel. Have fun.

Seems everyone has it covered haven’t been in some time however there is a place on whiskey row called Ian russel that has cool pictures from attests and some really cool sculptures made from various mechanical parts like engine parts rods pistons etc…

This pretty much covers it, but know you cant do it all. Pick and choose!

Farm Provisions is very good, but busy, get a reservation. It’s going to be tuff to make one now.

I’ll be serving up breakfast at the American Legion Sunday morning can’t beat it for 8 bucks.😎

Prescott is awesome.

Got in Friday and went to LazyG Brewhouse. Great food and felt mellow for a brewery.

Some of the younger family members got into town and we ended up a Whiskey River Tavern. The band playing was the Bayou Bandits. They were awesome. Spent the rest of the night as Matt's Saloon. That was probably my favorite spot. The band above the dance floor was super cool.

Saturday, we went to Back Burner in Prescott Valley for brunch with the family and hung out at a family member's house for a little. That night we went to Colt Grill BBQ, Whiskey River Tavern again, Jersey Lilly Saloon, and back to Matt's.

Sunday, we nixed the hike because we had our 11 year old pointer and the heat was probably too much for her. Breakfast with patio is hard to come by Sunday mornings. We ended up at The Local Prescott. Before we left, we swung by a free bluegrass festival in the Courthouse Plaza that had a bunch of random vendors.

Here's the few pics that I took:
