So I have a jet bote up for sale,

sans the jet jokes, have received plenty of questions, then this gem arrived this am,

"what' the gph gallons per hour on your boat?"

Really? Let's see, ad says 502 powered jet daycruiser, I'd like to say common sense would be it's not a hybrid, but what do I know?

I sent back I've never seen a gph rate on a jet bote, and advised to call a mfg. to see if one exists. I told hiim what I usually use on a normal outing.

So, what odd questions have you all had on stuff you've had for sale?

That question for me was moot until I sold our Jet-drive Biesemeyer Day Cruiser and went to v-drive flats where my GPH dropped to far less than half while performance increased a bunch. Fuel hogs may be a concern as fuel prices continue to rise.


(oh, we're sticking with v-drive boats after that change)

Around 80 at 3-5000 RPM based on my prior jet boat experience. about .5-.7 MPG in comparison. I did the math to compare my old jet boat to my new MPI IO. The IO burns about 20 GPH at same speed 45mph.

I found that if I dress up like a donut, the cops don't throw me. But then I get a whole different problem.

And the "Fisting" correction was a reference to being a jet bote owner, not a cop. You guys(cops) have a whole set of other demons that frankly makes being a fudge packer seem like a refreshing alternative.
