So this is what I ended up with 21 RDX Aspec. Going to make a few changes to personalize it a bit.

We are getting close to being in the market again. What all did you drive and what were your thoughts?
So first criteria was mid size AWD two row with a large enough rear seating area for adult and a reasonable cargo area with descent MPG.

Was planing on used but one owner and remaining factory warranty a must/lease return.

Then to start off I was a tech and very much disliked Nissan and Mazda products so two out

Love Toyotas but hate the grill on both the Toyota and Lexus

I am not a homo so Subaru is out.

I looked at the reviews and issues on all of the brands and most are good 4+

So I My sister has a Ford Edge I liked and drove it checked most boxes bu the display is low.

Hyundai was good but did not like the interior layout (dash/center consul)

Really liked the Honda CRV Sport right up to driving it. The layout was good reasonably quiet good options but this thing can't get out of it's own way! I mean ZERO power.

So I started looking at the RDX and fell in love with it. First off 4 cyl turbo 270 hp 10 speed sh awd it is a blast to drive! It is not a race car but fun never the less. Mpg is OK 21/26 I guarantee I will not get that on the first few tanks!
It met all of the other requirements and then some. The 16 speaker stereo is awesome. To be honest I have not had time to learn all of the car yet.

So another part of the criteria I did not mention above is resale value and I think the Acura will hold better than most.

I never made it past the Acura to look at the gm products and probably could have IDK.

We have an Edge ST. AWD. Wife loves them. She’s had 3. Leased the first 2 and purchased the ST. I believe this is the last year for them

So as much as I like the car the grill emblem reminded me of Star Trec insignia.

So with some paint and lens tent I muted it a bit.

The emblem is a set of calipers... And Acura isn't as bad as Lexus, but their grills can be a bit Avante garde.

When I drive my wife's RDX it stays in Sport mode unless it gets slick. Really a fun car to drive.

My only beef with Acura is they have to much dead cat space over the wheels. The car would look so much better dropped about 1/2 inch

Had the Acura MDX, then a BMW x3, then x5. X5 was my favorite hands down. Even can tow up to 7500lb. 70k miles on it and been rock solid. Never had an RDX but considered at one time. Like the smaller size. I would consider going back to the X3 if I wasn’t worried about its tow capabilities.
