@riverroyal @charred1

list is being built by parents, so far it includes
- Pizza Port
- That Pizza Place
- Senor Grubbys
- Prontos
- Dominics Italian in Escondido

Dominics is the best. Used to go to Dominics in Fallbrook all the time back in the HS days (early 80's). Best sandwiches ever! Dominic Jr ran that store and knew him very well and he always treated us young punks well. Great guy. Go there everytime we go back to Fallbrook just for old times sake and they still rock!

I bought a couple (well maybe more than a couple) arcade games at an auction in Ca via internet a couple weeks ago. Wife asks "what are you going to do with THOSE now? we don't have enough of that stuff?"

Yesterday- wife "how soon till those games get here?" 😂😂😂😂

That said, at dinner last night we were discussing how blessed we are to be in a very rural area, small town with a shit ton of gas and oil revenue. We'll never run out of milk, beef, and grain. Our closest neighbors are 2 miles away, and in the same situation. My kids are doing all the school work they can get right now and have a ton of time to help on the dairy and farm, get our garden at the house dialed in and ready, and still have time to ride the zipline, and hangout in our play barn. My wife and I were also talking about how we were wishing life could just slow down a bit. Well now it has. Its nice. No, we aren't going to make it to Newport (anytime soon) like we had planned. But, my kids are also getting more time on our shooting range too. This isn't ALL bad.

One positive note is that traffic in SoCal is now at a level that it should be all the time. I wish I had spent a little time rebuilding the carb on my bike because I would actually feel comfortable riding it around town now. If I'm not working this weekend that will likely be on the agenda.

This will be interesting. We have my boys & their girlfriends stranded with us:
  1. My 25 year old son with his girlfriend from SDSU, school cancelled & her roommates are quarantined & she can't go back to Boston with her family
  2. My 22 year old son & his girlfriend, both from John's Hopkins in Baltimore, school cancelled, & she can't go back to Greece where her family is.
We cleaned up the garage & setup the weights & machines, all of which we already had. We all started walking 5 miles around the lake, or around our neighborhood just to get out of the house (will try doing every day if possible) & we've been playing card games every night. So far so good.

Our deep freezer & pantry our full & we're ready for the long haul.

My boys will be able to tell if they can actually live with these girls they've each been with for over a year.

Also, we already work from home from an 800 sq ft office above our garage & my employees are working from my shop in San Diego. That's working out well & nobody's missing work.

Just used some extra scraps from the project and riveted some PVC on the inside of it to help keep it straight..

We are going off roading and having fun around the house.. but staying away from other people and not going to stores etc.. We plan on going boating tomorrow, but again everyone in my boat, and when we are done we go home. No interaction or getting close to other people.

Might hit up @LargeOrangeFont to do some off roading this week if he can maintain social distance.

We supported one of our favorite restaurants Cha Bones
Seared ahi, shrimp creole, lettuce wraps, mussels, and ahi pokie
All we did was call in our appetizer order and they brought it out to our car
Enjoyed it spa side
It's not so bad at home

Not criticizing in anyway.. but curious. We haven’t ate out because we were concerned that it would be a great way to import the virus into our home.

how or what are you doing to prevent that? I am missing me some restaurant food right about now.. lol. If I can convince the wife I’d to take out!

There's only a couple people in the restaurant so the percentage is low?
How are you getting food into your home?
Do you still get the mail or leave it in the mail box?
Do you gas up your truck?
We're doing what we can but we haven't locked the doors and closed the blinds.....yet
With Mrs EZ's profession I'm probably doomed anyway. Stay away from EZ lol

We stocked up at the beginning of this thing. If we buy anything we let it sit outside or in the garage for two days.. lol. Wearing gloves and hand sanitizing lysol’ing etc.

Working from home
Fixing the kitchen sink that started leaking.
Getting internet from the house out to the office attached to the shop. This is more complicated than one would guess given the sidewalk, water lines, electrical lines, foundation...…….
rebuilding a junk trailer
logging part of my property (about 30 trees with 10"+ stumps) This is after the monster hedge of Oleander. The easy part of tipping them over is done. Now the work begins. Breaking them down and chipping them.
Planning on cleaning out the end bay of the shop. I bought pallet rack shelving for it

For the internet. if it's within 150' or so, just put an access point on house facing garage. If further, use a wireless bridge, (good for miles, line of site). Ubiquiti brand works.

The food is safe, you can't get Covid-19 by eating the food. The issue with takeout food would be from touching the packaging then touching your nose, mouth or eyes then somehow getting the Covid droplets onto your lungs by inhaling them in. Transfer the food out of the bag or container to your own plate, through out the packaging, wash your hands, then eat.

FDA Covid-19 guidelines https://www.fda.gov/food/food-safet...-safety-and-coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19

Been working from home for two weeks. I work at the kitchen table and my wife upstairs. Whenever I have a conference call our dogs have to go to "jail" IE the kennel in the garage as they bark at the slightest noise. Other then working I've caught up on yard work, worked on getting the pool and boat ready for summer. trying to stay busy outside. Lots of walks.

Funny, but I needed readers in my let 40's --- But could spot a finning Marlin or boiling tuna on the horizon --- fast forward to my 70th Bday, bu then I couldn't read the signs in the supermarket isles or see the TV without glassed, but can easily read the super-fine print on any label. Lucky for me, my wife's is exactly the opposite, so she leads me around the store and hands me the jars or boxes to read the labels. Whatta TEAM 😂

Working from home, lots of website work!

Putting the final touches on Walt's site rebuild...

Putting together a whole new site for the Glamis Veterans event...

Just getting started on the SCSC Racing site rebuild for Ross...

And just trying out new tricks and techniques for making websites look cool. It's actually nice to have time to play around and learn new things. I've been doing this for over ten years now, and it never gets old. There is ALWAYS something new to learn!!! Lucky for me, I have @pronstar to edit my work when I'm done. His help has been amazing on making everything look just right.

Hope you guys are taking the time to try something you've never done before too.

Here's to learning new tricks!!! 🍻

@RiverDave you brought the virus home by going to the hardware store with gloves on. wearing gloves in public is the worst thing anyone can do. thats why hospitals dont even allow employees to wear them in non patient care areas. its a false sense of protection!

It’s all about how you use the gloves.

Drive to the hardware store and before you get out of the car, put new ones on. Then go into store and do your thing. After you pay on the way out the door (almost every store has a trash can right outside the door). Peel off the gloves from the cuff turning them inside out and drop them in the trash.

I have worked in healthcare for 30+ years and have used gloves in non patient areas for a number of reasons - the issue is to isolate the use of them and not use them in another area -

IE, this would not be acceptable - check a patient temp then while still wearing the same gloves go get them meds and come back still wearing the same pair and administer meds.

If you wear them to the store, go in and then wear them home and unpack you purchase that’s an issue and the wrong way to use gloves.

Yep. I won't let a clerk who is wearing gloves (usually a gas station) touch my card or merchandise. I know those assholes are never washing their gloved hands, and are not replacing their gloves throughout the day.

Do I really need to explain in detail the process in which I have bought a few items and brought them home for your satisfaction?

The short answer is there is multiple sets of gloves involved with the process and hand sanitizer in between. Lol

You don’t have to be Einstein to figure out the line of contamination and how to break it.

The thread is supposed to be uplifting and saying the life doesn’t have to suck while enduring this.
