To a parking spot that is. I read an article the other day that got me thinking about this. When you think about it, it makes more sense to back into a spot than pull in. First, your able to check out the spot before you pull in. Second, and most important, you have a much better view of what's in front of you as you pull out. The only issue I see would be when your parking, as you pull by a spot and begin to back in there's a chance someone behind you will go to take the spot. We typically park out away from the masses, but sometimes it unavoidable.
On Super Bowl sunday a little girl got ran over(backed over) here in town as she was riding her bike in a cul-d-sac. While you could go on forever as to who's "fault" it was, the outcome is still the same. I live at the end of a cul-d-sac also, and now I always back in to my driveway.

I like to use my index finger in attempt to stimulate a woman's g-spot while I'm administering cunnilingus. It often doesn't work because the location of g-spots seem to vary with each woman, but I think the effort is always appreciated.

How long are your fingers? Maybe your efforts are in vain if you're digitally challenged?

very rarely do i back my truck in ... unless i am unloading something from the bed of my truck.

the guys at work back into their spot all the time ... i have asked them why and just tell me "it's easier to just drive right out instead of backing up".

to each their own i guess.

If you find the index finger isn't getting the desired result you might give the "Venus Flytrap" a shot.

I back in for these very reasons. Driving a full size pick-up almost makes it a neccesity. I hate backing out into traffic.

Not really sure how to respond to that :p

Well, it is easier to pull into a parking spot, than it is to back into.

But, the Boy Scouts of America require you to back into a parking spot at all of their camps. 2 reasons - if there is a fire, it is much easier to have an orderly and quicker evacuation. 2. If you get a dead battery, getting to your battery with another vehicle is very easy.

The problem I have with people backing into a parking spot in a parking lot is the people that don't know how to back in. They are typically wanting to save time when they leave, but then they force me to wait for them while they take 10 shots at backing into a spot. They remind me of people who cut in front of you on the freeway that don't want to be behind a slow vehicle, but they they force you to slow down, because they didn't want to go slow.

Driving a fullsize truck through parking lot these days is a PITA! The turning radius on my truck sucks and the lots are getting smaller all the time. It is much easier to back into a spot than to do a 50 point turn to pull into one.

I take it you own a chevy?

they have always had crappy turning radius.

I personally back in when I leave tools in the truck, other wise I pull in.

90% of the time I back in to spots, much easier for me to park my truck.

I bet the Chevy's turn like a unicycle compared to my 03' F250.

I back in all three of my trucks. The quick get away for fire is a dam good reason but I also like to get the tailgate and camper shell up against something so they are harder to break into.

As said before backing in a truck into a tight spot is much easier. And it's always nice to be response ready!:D

Perhaps you need to recite the alphabet at the same time. Sorry to read your having so much trouble.

Have you considered squeezing her primer bulb?

I can handle either or just fine. It depends on the p/lot a lot on how I park. Spread out I park nose in most of the time. Cramped lots I tend to back in cause it's easier.

My wife noses her car in every where. When she drives the truck she Absolutly cannot park nose in to save her life. She will back my p/u into any spot like she's been doing it for 50 years. It's the weirdest thing.

I find i back in more often now that i have a rear view camera...I honestly split it 50/50 backing in...but like it was said earlier it is easier as parking lots are getting tighter and thighter.

Exactly! My Yukon XL has an amzing turning radius for its size but it takes a country mile to pull off a U turn in my dads 05 F250. I swear he has to make a 3 point turn to get that F250 around a Cul De Sac.

Company policy says back in at all times.
When I'm in my F-250 I always back in unless I park out in the boonies.

I make all my guys back in, and if there are two guys in the truck one spots for the driver. I have quite a few checks I have written for parking lot fender benders where my guys have bumped somebody... It Sux!

I have gotten a ticket for backing in. I almost always back my truck in. It has a service body with a big compressor in the middle so I can't see shit out the back window

Or cities. Oceanside is this way. That city has all kinds of jacked up parking laws to generate revenue. They also just made the news ticketing a guy for over $200 for being in a skate park with his kid and not wearing his helmet. The father was not on a skate board. He was holding his sons hand who had all of his saefty gear!! He fought it and the judge found him guilty but suspend the fine. What a joke!!!

With a full size pickup, especially a crew cab or dually, it's way easier to back in then to pull in front ways (if you know how....girls aren't good at this).

The reason is you can pivot on the inside rear wheel, making your truck much more maneuverable.....you can get into a much tighter spot backing and do it all in one shot, not back and forth and you are much less likely to be bumping into cars on either side.

You will notice big emergency vehicles always back in to parking places, not just for the obvious reason (quick response), and they should always have a spotter, but it's easier and faster.

But don't try to teach this to most female ambulance drivers (sorry girls).

;)

A lot of people will back in to keep cops from driving thru and running their tag. Like if they have a warrant or if its a stolen car or plate. I think it only brings more attention to em cause the cops are looking for that.

Personally I like to pull thru if I can. I can't see a damn thing out the back of the van I generally drive for work. With the trailer about half of the launches I go to are pull-in types and the there is a pull thru or pull in/back in.

I back in for a few reasons: 1) it is easier to maneuver the truck into the spot. 2) If pulling into a space that is adjoined to another space, I would rather have my hitch hang into the adjoining space than have someone bump into my front bumper. 3) With a Crew Cab Long Bed, if backing into a spot with a curb, I can get further into the spot since the rear axle is inset further than the front axle.

In my Crapalier, I park that bitch wherever I can fit it, cause I really don't give a fuck about it. :D

My truck, I usually park out in the boonies and take up 2+ spots, so that is 50/50 split between pull through and back in. I usually don't take it to the store. I try to back it into the garage, but it's so tight with all of the roommates cars that it is easier to pull it in (gotta angle it in).
