To go along with the transmission thread, if you have the power slider back window check them for leaks. Was washing ours and noticed some small drips on the inside far left and right sides. We usually go to the car wash and I don’t think you would ever catch it since they clean the inside before you get it.

Quick google search and it’s a wide spread and known issue. Link to the service bulletin https://static.oemdtc.com/TSB/MC-10156903-9999.pdf

This has been a problem as far back as my 99 Silverado' manual slider. It leaked and eventually broke. Chevy would not cover it and finally offered a solid window panel saying they had stopped installing sliders. Wonder why? Finally had to buy and install an aftermarket unit that's still in there to this day.

I’ve been a GM fan most of my life , but lately it’s been really hard to be one . All the manufacturers have issues time to time , but GM seems to just tell people to pound sand when something comes up . And their quality just seems to be deteriorating.

Bump. I'm having this issue. 6 week old truck. I'm going to take it to the dealer. I'm curious, what is the cause of these leaking?

I have the slider rear window on my 2023 and haven’t noticed any leaks yet. I’ll have to keep an eye on it.

So it leaking from the actual fixed part of the window. Not the slider at all?

Hard to tell. I can see water dripping off the top window track. Possibly above the window under the spoiler?

My 2015 GMC Sierra leaks fron the 3rd brake light when it rains hard.

At first I got upset about it, but then I remembered theres Ford guys out there epoxying their Ecoboost cracked plastic valve covers and oil pans ...

The upper frame for the slider window cracks. Shine a flashlight along the top below the headliner and you will see the cracks. It is also happening on late model Ram power sliders.

My shop replaces a dozen or two a month.

GM procedure is to remove the rear spoiler and “reseal” along the top of the rear power slider assembly. There will be 1-4 cracks in the plastic that is between the urethane and the glass. The reseal does not work long term. Try to push them to just replace it.

With ram trucks they also replace the 3rd brake light.
