Well...

Florida does have nice beaches! šŸ˜
I just left a camping trip at a clean beach in Texas. I mean the water wasnā€™t clear blue, but there were no diapers laying around. As to the illegals, I know they exist, but they seem to do a better job of hiding them out here. I know I wasnā€™t trying to get to sleep with Mariachi music blasting. There is some public land, one of my coworkers hunts dove on it. Granted, there ainā€™t a lot of it.

Edit: I miss the mountains.

Right.

Because you need that stuff on a day to day basis?
Funny thing is, now that Iā€™m in a place where I can carry what I want, when I want and just about wherever I want, I donā€™t feel like I need to. I feel safer just about anywhere I go which is something I could not say about my last decade or 2 in California.

I'd rather be out camping in the Sierra's or enjoy the beautiful beaches.

But that's just me. šŸ˜Ž
I would rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it, on any day. But that's just me...

The world will be a lot better without porn. Or at least with less porn. If youā€™re bothered by this inconvenience, I question that Iā€™d have a beer with you.

There is not less porn. There will always be porn. Just like prostitution.

I live in Brevard County, East coast. Brevard has made an effort in the past to purchase vacant land when available and turn it into public access. I'm close to Patrick Space Force Base they own about a mile of beachfront property. It's kept really nice and patrolled with military on ATV's so the ass clowns aren't there. šŸ˜ Have no alcohol signs but if one does not have a keg on the beach and you are not making a fool out of yourself you are left alone.

North of Vero Beach no need to be Bi-Lingual...lol

So begs the question, what were you all searching for to find this info?
:D
FYI dudes.
I was not on a mission to ahem, take matters into my own hands yesterday. I actually heard about the pornhub ban in Florida right here on RDP. We are currently visiting our Florida home and I actually forgot about the porn ban until I was talking to my neighbor who is a lonely divorced guy that probably uses those services and he was complaining to me about it so I wanted to give it a try and see what happened. I knew you would all get a good laugh about this so thatā€™s why I posted. And nearly 30 posts later, here we are.
Iā€™m sure you are going to fully believe every word I just said šŸ˜³

Ok, school me.
How is age confirmation to view adult material online a 1st amendment violation?
Where does the bill of rights say anything about your ā€œrightā€ to view unrestricted free porn online outweighing societies right to attempt to limit exposure of adult themes (full blown ass fucking video for example) to minor children?
Especially a States sovereign right to police itself concerning such things?
You would seek to impose your beliefs concerning societal decency upon a sovereign States citizenry and their children? And bring in the feds to enforce it?
Thatā€™s about as unconstitutional as possible. (And is the EXACT reason Roe v Wade was overturned, since you brought up abortion)
Less federal oversight and more State sovereignty is a conservative positionā€¦imposition of more federal oversight and less State sovereignty is a liberal left position.

Iā€™m no constitutional scholar, but even I know that our individual rights end when they impose on the rights of others. IOW, your right to unrestricted free porn (as you see it) does not supersede the rights of a States citizens to legally attempt to limit exposure to minors within that State, or to create their own decency laws.
The ā€œleft, middle, and rightā€ actually do not agree on the subject of internet decency and open access to free online porn.
Those who like porn all do agree regardless of party affiliationā€¦that much is true. Lol
Porn is more important to them than core beliefs apparently? Yet not important enough to simply verify their age? Talk about some serious raincoating.
I know that isnā€™t you, youā€™ve openly stated your porn accounts and you don't hide in the shadows.

In our own State of AZ there have been 2 bills introduced in the last 2 years by GOP senators addressing this very thing. Age confirmation to access pornā€¦or more accurately ā€œadult contentā€. This would include images, prose, themes etc. (this in itself is the hobgoblin of such lawsā€¦who decides what is indecent and what is acceptable to minors)
One bill was killed in the D house, one bill was vetoed by Dem Hobbs.
(Iā€™ve posted links to these bills a couple of times in the past)
Violation of these proposed laws would have been a misdemeanor, with daily fines to the websites until corrections were made.
If AZ ever really does go back red from blue we will see these types of conservative laws enacted.

Right now, RDP (being a non restricted open source site) would be in violation thanks in part to Hubbas recent active link to a known porn outlet.
(Yes, people like the MADD mothers are watching)
You know, itā€™s no secret that 530 is my sworn enemy (we have discussed this privately you and I) but he is absolutely correct when he says that many views by RDP so called conservatives are actually hard core left positions.
Unrestricted online access to free porn is one of those positions.

Before the onslaught of name calling and shit slinging starts against me, I want to make it clear that I am no prude.
Iā€™m not a religious zealot or in any way religious at all.
Most of what the perverts here fantasize about Iā€™ve actually done (in my other life) to the point of boredom with it. If I were to dig through my old boxes of junk itā€™s completely possible that I might find an old dvd of questionable content and originā€¦lol

Florida has every right to impose internet age restrictions on adult sites. And in a true red wave other red states will presumably follow suit
Florida did NOT ban porn or pornhub. Pornhub chose not to participate in Floridaā€™s new internet environmentā€¦as is their right.

Go around the corner to the porn store (Florida is full of them) and buy him a collection of DVDs and a $30 playerā€¦problem solved.

Limiting minors access to what society has defined as adult content is not a first amendment violation.
When in print, you had to be 18 to buy the magazines. FL has a ton of adult stores, which all require ID to purchase and some require you to be 18 to enter. FL just expanded the state law to include online adult content.

The federal government is going to stay out of both.

Porn Hub would have to prove the requirement is overly burdensome. From my understanding Florida is requiring a website obtain copies of the users ID and store the information. That is a pretty tall requirement and I don't know if it infringes on free speech or not.

All sorts of websites require you to attest that you are over a certain age to view content, that is well established. The argument here is did Florida go to far in requiring records be kept and this infringed on Porn Hub and its users right to free speech? The local adult store doesn't make a copy of your DL when buying the latest issue of Juicy Jugs magazine, why should Porn Hub be required to do so?

This is one of those pick your battles carefully that Republicans don't understand. Is Internet porn more important than national security, how about the economy? Is an abortion ban more important than either of those two things?

If Joe Biden hadnt been a corrupt drooling mess that belonged in an old folks home would Donald Trump really be our president right now?

Morality crusades are important but not when you give up everything to accomplish them. When our country is so heavily divided focus on reminding people why they need you instead of giving them new reasons to hate you.

Porn should in no way shape or form be a political issue.

A few years ago Disney and DeSantis were in a huge pissing match when Disney openly and actively opposed Floridas laws concerning sexual content in the classroom to kids as young as kindergarten, as well as no parental notification concerning things like tranny story time and whatever.
Florida said it ainā€™t happening, Disney (being Disney) filed suit to stop these laws and promote classroom perversions ā€¦Desantis then rezoned Disneyworld property and the battle was on. (Desantis won)

So this is a continuation of Florida leading the charge against what most of RDP usually rallies against.
Free online porn, however, seems to be a sticking point for some reason?

True.
The effectiveness has yet to be determined and it likely wonā€™t matter.
But that doesnā€™t mean Florida canā€™t legally try.

Possibly because a physical store can and does limit who can legally even walk into the store?
Kids canā€™t walk into a barā€¦let alone buy a drink.
Kids canā€™t walk into a porn storeā€¦let alone buy porn.
From that perspective I donā€™t see a legal problem?

Trump banned abortion?

I get your point, but to many people there is no longer any gray area.
But National politics aside, this is Florida being what Florida has always been, and Florida simply doesnā€™t care about liberal catering.

The legal item is related to maintaining evidence an ID was presented.
PornHub in some states has the ā€œclick if over 18ā€ button to enter.
States (not just FL) want PH to maintain the DL pic on their server.
Since PH gets hacked often, the company does not want that exposure, so they are hiding behind other reasons.

But there would be a problem if the store scanned your ID and kept that information on file to prove compliance with the law. Sure a kid could walk in and be turned around, but it's the recording of the ID of the patrons legally allowed to be there that is onerous. And since the recording of the ID is compelled by the state, this could also be a violation of the 4th Amendment. It's not showing the ID, it is the record keeping.

My daughter and SIL recently did a few years in Sat Beach... Both had great jobs. Was the best vacation times for me and my wife... If they had stayed I was seriously considering the move. .
