what display is that?
what display is that?
If I recall correctly Justin's had your standard issue cast iron small blocks. This being LSK motors (aluminum block and heads) should probably shave a good 500 lbs combined I'm guessing.Boat came out absolutely Amazing, from top to bottom. I am dying to know how it runs!! I'm sure it will take some dial in.. Justin's old one had a little hop in it (trim sensitive), but his had blower motors that I think are heavier than these.
Not sure who's going to go do the dial in on it, but please let me know when! I'd love to go!

Looks great!!! Top notch work!!! Who's steering wheel, with trim switches built in??
GT sells them, I had one my first mini boat.
Right on!! I have been looking for a while for one of those!! Trip to GT next week it is
They are pretty damn nice looking. I went a different direction in my Schiada.

Schiada Stan built this one. The horn switches on the foot rack are the trim buttons for my drive.
Disregard the mess. My kids were in the boat today playing.
AJ and I talked about your set up. I want old school look but improved, lol
Brians working on throttle pedal assy with hidden hardware/cable under floor with matching footrests for driver and passenger with hidden adjustability. Stopped by Brians earlier this week and buttons aren't gonna fit. If we can get this wheel to work with the most recent hub assy, then it's a win!
:champagne:

The boat came out stunning.:thumbsdown I vill get flagged for saying this though, I never liked an open entry on a closed deck model like this or the 25 Nordic Rage. It looks to me like an unfinished bulkhead. Totally agree with open entry on a bowrider model where it makes sense to create more light and breeze through the mid cabin for hot climates like Havasu. The sharp corners around the dash in the entry way makes me not be a fan further more. Sorry if I offended the Schiada community, it wasn't my intent.
I hate billet speaker grills.. always thought they looked goofy.

I love this boat and I hate it at the same time. Everything about it is epic but the interior and the dash just don't do it for me. I would have done gauges and a more classic look given the boats pedigree.
Just getting started on a complete restoration of a 27" Schiada. The boat is a 1983 and apparently has never been rigged and has never been wet. There are 2 transom holes cut and exhaust holes in it but the dash has never been cut and the rest of the boat has never been rigged. The customer says the boat was purchased new and sat in a barn in Oregon for 20 years before being sold to another person who then let it sit outside for another 10 years. It is pretty rough but when we are finished with it this will be a brand new boat!!! Here are the before pics to get this thread going.

As you can see the floors and transom are totally rotted out of it. We are going to rebuild the whole boat with the same composite materials that we use here at Nordic to build our boats with. When we are done taking it apart it will literally be down to just as it was when it came from the molds. We have already started that process so here are a few pics of the beginning of that process. We have cut the deck off the boat and are removing the old transom now. It was originally built with a 1" thick transom and somebody added another layer to it to make it thick enough to accommodate stern drives. Good thing they didn't finish it because the two different layers were never properly bonded together!!

This is going to be a great project and one that I am sure the customer will be very happy with when finished
Seen it a few times on the Strip. I thought it was going back to have some adjustments made over winter. Should be back out this Summer.Bumping this thread, boat turned out amazing!! Was there any new updates or videos of it running??
Where did the boat end up, surprised nobody has seen it in the water anywhere.
I almost bought the hull at the car show in neddles, thought it would’ve been nice to have both of the last 2 surviving 27, it looks beautiful, waiting for summer to get back in the water againBefore and after.
It will run great, it’s a good hull since I own the other 27As cool as it is to restore a unicorn type boat like this. It is still a 1983 hull, that there is not a whole lot of info on. What happens when you water test it? What if it rides and handles poorly? What if it is unstable at speed? There is a reason they stopped building them. I bet this hull is not going to perform well with those stand off boxes.
There is soooo much money going into this boat. I would have ordered a brand new Hallett, Howard, or Nordic.
Is it just me?
You own the burgundy and white one? With the blown small blocks? It will run great, it’s a good hull since I own the other 27
Justin’s old one?You own the burgundy and white one? With the blown small blocks?
That is the only other one.You own the burgundy and white one? With the blown small blocks?
Yes I own the other 27, had a 27 Hallett, and wanted a project to work on since I have a lot of restoration knowledge, I got it after I got a 21rt from the original owner in Parker also, had been using her in CA and now in NM, she’s a beautiful boat that Justin took care of, I almost bought the other 27 hull in needles yrs. Ago… that was a wonderful project boat and would have loved to do it but time was better spent with my family, the build on the other one is fantastic and hopefully meet up with him sometime. That is the only other one.
