Well here it is all finished on our end for now. This is almost literally a brand new boat at this point. Completely re gelled in all white and with a electric blue engine compartment. Ready to go for paint and rigging now. Maybe Jamie can keep the thread going:D

Thank you for updating this thread!! Boat looks fantastic and I'm sure the pictures don't do it justice!!

Any particular reason why it's being painted instead of gelcoated? Not knocking the decision just curious is all. ;)

Thanks again!

We debated that one a bit... The paint technology today has come a long way in marine applications. With the clear coats available, you can make it just as durable, easier to repair and have an endless color selection over gel coat. Both options are viable, but we went with paint. Billy B is going to have his way with it:boobeyes: Still keeping traditional Schiada lines, but with some Krazy Kolors.

Looks like a 21RC on steroids. This is going to be a gem! I know I'm not the only one here who seriously considered picking it up in Oregon for pennies a couple of years ago. Of course we all know it's going to take gold bricks to finish it. Kudos to Nordic and GT, but most of all to the new owners.

I'm the guy who sent him the listing. He laughed and said yea right. Then all of a sudden he's getting it. Let's just say every time I see him or someone he knows sees me he tells me "thanks a lot asshole for finding that boat, I keep writing checks."

I can't wait to watch the rigging in this thread

Just wondering...Why are the exhaust holes tall ovals? Is there for exhaust exits for each hole? 2 motors and the exhaust outlets are fabbed into it?

That's the cutout for a IMCO standoff box.

Cool to see Mack still over at GT. He and I worked together at IMCO long ago. Really cool guy!

What are they cutting out out the helm? Is that area going to be closed off with a door or are they just making it easier for taller people to get below?

Why did the owner opt for a dry sump? Is this going to be used a lot in the ocean?

Did GT build the LS engines?

No door...just makes it possible to get under deck with out crawling
Dry sumps are a better way to keep it lubed
It will not be used in ocean, but will be closed cooled too...
Yes GT is building engines, they are 463 CI EFI LS7 based motors...(not much bow tie in them though)!

Thanks for the reply!

Who is making the exhaust?

Are they going to re-route all of the coils?

Hardin is building some long tube style headers
Not sure what to do with coils yet, GT will need to figure that one out, they will be prettied up one way or another...

Did you get a hold of that airbrush artist for the deck mural?

I purchased some really cool brackets for mine that are made to be mounted to a frame rail (see link below). I'm going to make some brackets to go on the rail kit to keep them low, away from heat an out of the way. Also picked up a nice set of polished valve covers w/o the coil pack mounts. I've seen covers that just go over the OEM valve covers and coil packs, but I don't think they'd clear boat headers.

He told me he finally did. The guy has been super busy painting the murals on the back of a bunch of bounder motor homes. The guy said while he was doing it he thought of a great idea for the deck. Darin told me but I don't want to burst his bubble.
