My brother bought this boat in Feb of this year.

After reblumbing 90% of the entire boat and fixing wiring issues, The motor hydrolocked 2 cylinders and he found a 16" crecent wrench laying in the valley of the blower motor.

We also notice the rear passanger side stringer had rotted wood. We ground the wood out and filled it with chopped glass and laid a few layers or glass over it.

After tearing the motor down and sending it to the machine shop, it is junk. He plans on selling the blower, carbs, intake to recoupe some money.

All he wants is a reliable boat that starts up every time and will get him where he needs to go. Like a hallet 210 or similar.

What would you figure the boat is worth, with trailer and dust cover? Minus motor.

Is the floor solid and are the stringers solid?

That's about what wackers, jets, and OD's go for these days.

Now, lets talk about the holy grail of Schiada boats... The 20' SS V-drive. The #1 boat that pulls more tail than any other boat on the water. That is an added few $G's right there

Sure if they run. But with out a motor then only it's worthy of pulling is 3 Indians from Parker and hammer.

Fuck that sucks. A buddy of mine had a similar experience with his 21' that he bought years ago. Had to go through everything. Mix matched pistons etc.

We chopped the wiring to the motor because he was planning on getting it rewired with a rebuilt motor. Come to find out the block, pistons, rods, etc are all junk. It would cost too much money to build up a new motor for this thing.

The boat will come with the tranny and IMCO exhaust. The only item it will not come with is the motor/blower

It has electric cav plates

I'm thinking around $10K for it

Throw a N/A motor in it, complete the wiring around the motor, hook up the plumbing, fix the rear corners and run the piss out of her

If someone has a nice clean 21-23' v-hull outdrive that want to trade for a v-drive, he is willing to trade and add a little cash to the pot.

Selling chrome wiper blades and seat covers isn't work.

I did your job also once. Wait, just kidding I have never been a bum.

Why not just have someone rebuild the motor and keep the boat. At least he knows the demons in this one versus getting something else that is unknown.

Block, crank, cam, pistons, rods, lifters, push rods, valve springers, machine work, the time it is going to take..... He just wants to sell it and look for a reliable outdrive that backs up where he points the wheel. He is bummed about this boat and doesn't even want to look at it anymore. lol

Trying my best to not be a dick here .......but is the paint/gel at the rear corners a tad bit less than most Schiada owners would tolerate?

Looks a little rough there..
