He said the Dems are trying to figure out a way to keep her from running for re-election.

They don't have to nominate her, since she isn't on the primary ballots, the party rules allow for a brokered convention where another candidate ends up on the ticket. Granted that would be a political shit show for the modern day progressive Dems, it'd be fun to watch though.

I ended up having a conversation with a DC lobbyist last week and his opinion was that Biden serves until the election, but declines the nomination after the primaries opening the doors for a brokered convention. He also mentioned The DNC doesn't want Kamala because while she checks the boxes she isn't electable.

The Dems probably do not want to get rid of Joe and have Harris take over before the term is up, but I appears that Joe is declining faster.
