There was two boats on the lake today. Sadly I finally put ours away, or I would have went for a ride.

Stuck in CA where the weather can't be consistent with the seasons. It should be fall but the temps don't agree and while the east seems to be getting rain we haven't seen anything resembling rain drops yet.

People pull seasonal clothes out, can't do that in CA, could be 90 on Christmas day. So confusing in this state.

We came over to our house in Sunriver Oregon to prep it for winter this weekend. All the boats are ready for winter (even the one we use) already also which I don’t normally do until Thanksgiving.

Wifey is happy she can actually wear warm sweaters here.
Sure wasn’t able to do that in CA.
Costco sells all this cold weather clothing every year, but i couldn't consistently wear it in CA.

Though I do find it funny that people coming up to the mountains in the winter dress like they are planning on getting lost in the Yukon and its only in the 40s to 50s. I'd be sweating dressed like that.

Blew out the sprinkler lines and put the snow blade on the tractor. I think were ready for our first Idaho winter.

The cold is really not an issue. It is quit pleasant to come in to a toasty fire. I sleep better it seems when it is cold. I was working outside yesterday in the mid thirties with only a long sleeve shirt. (the sun was out) If it was in the mid 30s in California or Arizona I would have been freezing. The cold just seems less hostile. It is nice to be comfortable in jeans and boots and not sweat my balls off. The wife enjoys getting to wear all sorts of attire she could not wear down south. The colors are amazing.

All that said the thing that I find tough, no one seems to talk about.

Lack of sunlight.

The days are short, I start my workday in the dark, I finish my workday in the dark. Weekends are short, It's hard to get motivated for activities, It's far too easy to be lazy. Food tastes better then ever.

I'm ready to head south, and enjoy a little more fall and quickly jump into spring. I now understand what the four seasons actually are and appreciate them much more since leaving so cal over a decade ago. Sure endless summer is nice, but the four seasons make you appreciate each change. To each their own, but I actually really enjoy the changing seasons. I think the Native Americans had it figured out with the way the moved with the seasons.

We realized we miss our home gym this fall. That helped a lot when we lived in Reno to get through winter.

It was 38° yesterday morning when I pulled into the golf course parking lot. 3 1/2 hours later it was nearly 80.😄😎

I can’t stop laughing at most of y’all’s responses before I’ve even seen them. 😆

We’re new to New England weather. We watch the neighbors.
If they mow, we mow.
If they rake leaves, we rake leaves.
Snow blower, no prob.

I have so many smart ass replies to this, I can't decide which one to pick!

It’s funny you mention this……….. I was wondering what happens when Napa see’s his neighbor making love to his sheep……. lol
Or has he Become a sheep himself??

🐑😁
Y’all got jokes I see. 😆

For your info there are Trump flags around our one horse town of 5000 people so I’m pretty sure no goat fuckers around here. And we also voted R down the line. 👍

Alot like where we live in Evergreen. We were just in Colorado Springs last weekend for my daughter's Cross Country race. Near Woodland Park the weekend before riding quads.
