@Toolman tipped me to a podcast interview with @schiadastan put out on Joe Rode's Powerboat Talk YouTube channel. It's a bit of a long watch but there is a ton of pretty cool performance boat and Schiada history in it. I thought I would share it, apologies if its a VIN.

Not sure who this Joe Rode dude is, but he seems knowledgable and kinda connected in the performance boat space. I know he did an interview with @rivergames as well. Next up on my list.

I wonder if my boat is a “wet potato chip” or how long I have till it is. Great interview and lots of info and history.

Thanks Len for sharing this with the class! Very informative on how Schiada came to be and leading up to where it’s at today. Stan was definitely not exaggerating when talking about things with the boats being different heights, lengths, and width’s. The part that really hangs with me is how he can’t get anyone (younger generation) who’s interested in learning the rigging, I’d be all over something like that if I wasn’t becoming a fossil. But I guess it’s like kids today having no interest in cars…..or even driving (I realize not all). And yes I definitely have one of those “‘77/‘78 wet potato chips”……hopefully mine will just be a damp potato chip when I’m done!

Someone awhile back told me I was crazy for calling the vector Halletts version of the 21 schiada. Turns out the vector was a direct splash of the 21 according to schiada stan...

I would love to check out the 30 don't think I have ever seen one before. Twin v-drive with big horsepower would be bitchen. The schiada 22 turbine boat sounds like fun. Interesting comments on the tunnel.

That was really good and thank you for posting. I have lived on waterfront or less then 1000 feet from most of my life but they have all been bays or northwest lakes that have about a .05% of performance boats to bayliners type ratio , Chesapeake bay ,Puget sound and the like. I have however always been in that .05% with my boats . Since I didnt grow up in so-cal I am still learning all the history of southwest built boats. Very informative and it is great that they are able to build what they want with buyers to back them up.😎
