OK, here goes.. Good to hear the local Too Short performance came off good. . I stopped playing drums professionally while in a successful rock band in 74. We worked our way up and ended up playing many nights with people such as Tina Turner, Little Richard etc., very amazing talents. There were never any words in their lyrics such as piss, shit, cunt, pussy, whore etc. Then far beyond appropriate. And not entertaining. When working with Tina we always gave her and her girls, The Ikettes, the utmost respect they deserved. No foul language when we were with them. Although, far too often, we saw Tina without stage makeup and bruises, likely caused by Ike, she was still respected very much as a lady, which she was. For us, an adequate use of the English language and its adjectives worked well. Shoot had we known, we could have been forerunners with words which some find entertaining today. Heck, some people even climb onstage with those headliners of today. Wow! Very special. Different Strokes . . . . Perhaps an overload of Tourette's Syndrome may be a direct track to stardom today? That's up to the fans and their concepts of musical talent. . .

Did you know Jack Bruno, Tina's drummer later in life. He was my Neighbor.

No, I didn't know Jack Bruno. Back then Soko Richardson, great drummer and a good guy, was playing drums for them. In those years they were still known as the Ike & Tina Turner revue. It was from that group where Tina's outstanding rendition of Proud Mary had its roots.

Had a great time Seeing everyone last night in the channel! Super mellow and it was great not stressing out on Saturday night like I usually am.
Also really cool to actually have time to sit and BS with a lot of friends that I only get to see once or twice a year.

The channel hang out was cool. Could have used a nape beforehand as we were people watching since like 1:30 in the channel and rolled straight into the RDP hang out.

I took like three photos. None of which are worth posting

More Pix..... of course
Some sort of chonological order.
the Bay in the morning, Streetfest thru out the day. The Channel the next day et. al.
If you cruised thru the channel sometime on friday, theres a good chance I got a shot of your boat, if you're looking for a decent shot.
A few "Attendee " shots as well...... editted for family content of course.
Using a camera btw, not a phone....

Here

I didn't take any pics. I took this one that shows the crowd at the Street Party. The second pic is the first pic way cropped down so you can see the crowd down the street better. Not good quality due to how much it is cropped.
