It is possible that their might be an official schedule for a mini enduro on the Sunday following the Big Parker/Blue Water enduro. Ron Hill spoke to Ross at the enduro meeting & if there is enough entrants with mini boats ie 10' schiada's, tunnels or whatever they will schedule a 3hr enduro. This could be a real kick in the pants. I have twin daughters who are 14 today that would kill for a shot at this. If anybody is interested speak up. Ross will need an idea on how many boats could attend. Check out http://www.boatracingfacts.com/forums/index.php? under miniboats for more info.:party2:

If someone would tell me some fucking prop geometry numbers for a 40hp Tohatsu on a 12' Daytona, I might fly down and run this son of a bitch.

.... but there is no love for Canadians, you anti-canite bastards! :swear

Shot in the dark, but I'm guessing elephant ear style prop 3 blade 12 - 14 pitch.

I was trying to get RivieraDave to tell me the dimensions of his prop since he has a 12' Daytona with 40hp Tohatsu but he sent me a PM saying, "I'm not sharing that information with Canadian scum!"

... seemed kinda harsh to me. :(

If someone attending this mini boat chocolate beverage fuck fest could find someone running a Daytona-12 with 40 Tohatsu and find out what prop they are running, I would really appreciate it.

While a mini-enduro would be a good thing, it couldn't be held the weekend after another event.

There must be at least 2 weeks between events in the Blue Water area. This is due to a binding protocal agreement that protects the marsh across from the Resort. The marsh is the reason for the no-wake zone in the first place.

Without the protocal agreement there would be no races or other marine events allowed in that area.

EDIT!

My bad. This is set to be on the same weekend as the Enduro. The way the first post was written, it sounded like it was going to be the next weekend.

My 10'er is slated to be done early / mid summer.. So I'd be interested as well. :) Not sure if I'll have the 12'er together or not by then.

Ah hell, I thought the mini enduro was gonna be a 50 miler that Maxi had a shot at winning in the Jones/Schiada 'Wiskers' dealio.

He can't seem to win the big one so I figured he was promoting one he had a shot at.

I am afraid that there will be no sharing of prop information with possible Canuck Terrorists. This is due to the new Homeland Security rules put in place to keep this highly sought after secret information in the hands of the proper authorities.:party2: So, no Fruit Cup for you Brown... :grumble::D

I spoke to Ron Hill about this last week as well. I'd love to do it in my 10'er. 3 hours might seem like a little too long in those little things, but I'd still probably give it a go.

I can only guess what the rules will be for this deal, limited motor size limited boat size, minimum weight, mandatory stops, lifeline jackets, certified helmets, tech inspection, blah blah blah. By the time it gets regulated by the powers that be most interest will be lost. That being said, if it happens I will sit there drink beer and watch. Hell if its not regulated to death I may even field a boat. better off doing a mini boat regatta with a dam to dam to dam to dam to dam to dam run:)

Here is a more direct link. http://www.boatracingfacts.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=146 As far as rules they should be pretty simple. Safety regulations & a few divisons based on engine size & hull design. Otherwise it is to go out and have a lot of fun at a pretty inexpensive budget. Of course whiteworks if the rules are to involved then a can of beer & beach chair is where you belong.

Again there needs to be a decent boat count to make it happen. 3 hrs would go by quickly. Maybe a mandatory driver change to get more people involved would be a good idea.

Boatcop it would be the same weekend.

Yes RD the new boat member would be there with my girls driving it. After some SRS shit I am doing to it, that biatch will run an easy 100!:party2: or at least 35mph!:D With the prop info I got from a few board members here, that should be pretty respectable for a "Schiada"! ;)

Maximus are you going to race yours with twins? I'm pretty sure I can make one of those props counter rotating on yours if you haven't already.

I am thinking about a 10' rigid inflateable similar to Ryan Partridge's pretty sure he would run his aswell.

Tom, There was a prop included with your boat but it might need a rework:rolleyes:

Apparently, it's mangled so far beyond recognition my Dad can find no geometry numbers or markings. I suggested we could just build up the blade tips with weld but he shot that idea down too. Miserable old bastard. :D

I'm looking forward to seeing it. It should be cool this summer. I've got plans that should provide a good laugh for everyone.

When I checked into props there were only like 2 or 3 to choose from. I could not find any numbers on it either but figured you might be able to figure it out with the remains.

My Dad really likes it. He already fixed up the trailer and has it ready to run to Canada. He says it's really sharp looking.

Thanks again. :) :thumbsup

I'm not worried about props. I'll have something in place by summer. It would be nice to hear from someone with a 40hp Tohatsu on a mini Daytona, though.

Yea Dave I raised the motors an inch & a half, made a couple of trim tabs for it so it won't lean to one side. The boat ran 30mph pinned with both my girls in it. That was on gps. I figured it might run a touch better? My main goal is to make it user friendly with both motors so they can play all summer with out a bunch of hassels. I don't care how fast it is for the enduro. I would be having a ball helping & watching my kids racing... :party2:

And no Tom you friggen canatard I won't be driving. I damn near sunk it at Puddingstone on a cold ass day taking it for a test run. Had the motors trimed up to high & almost looped it on take off... It works best with me on the beach!:champagne:

I think everyone is waiting to see the rules on March 1st Maximus. ;) I'll probably run it no matter what. I talked to Lee @ Schiada and he's interested in running it as well.

I dunno about all that.. :D I just told Lee that they were going to do it this year, and he said "I'll race that" and then mentioned that he'd get ahold of some other mini Schiada owners to come out and race it.

I would run it but since Ron Hill is involved he willa djust the rules to satisfy himself only and it will ultimately end up eliminating anyone else that has a chance at winning. So basically like the last time I will be sitting on the shore with team "Phuck Ron Hill"

...now where did that banner go? ;)

Soooo... what are you really thinking??? :hmm
You got hosed when you raced & now its easier to point fingers than put some effort into your program and win?:nono

For what I figured it would cost in fuel to run the race & some Meguires for the paint... It wouldn't matter win loose or draw. Be a fun way to spend the day talking shit & spectating...:champagne:

Actually, what he was referring to is when a group of us on this site went through and had everything setup to run the enduro a couple of years ago and then Ron Hill decided to change the rules after we already made arrangements to run it. He knew he couldn't compete, so he decided to cheat to put the rules into his favor and send us to a class where we couldn't be competitive. We decided not to race the year because of that.

Maybe it's under my house or in the garage...i believe the lawn was used and the "advertising spot" that year.:skull
