God bless Texas, in and out of Costco with a new battery in 7 minutes. And I had to renew my membership.
When I went to Napa to get my battery a 52 Chevy truck popped out of gear and rolled through a vinyl fence. I had to wait for everyone to come back inside. Took a little more time 😂

If the voltage of the battery is to low it won't "start" the booster. Hold down the little red exclamation point button.

Low Voltage Batteries & Manual Override. The GBX45 is designed to jump start 12-volt lead-acid batteries down to 3-volts. If your battery is below 3-volts, the Boost LED will be «off». This is an indication that the GBX45 can not detect a battery. If you need to jump start a battery below 3-volts there is a manual override feature, which allows you to force «on» the jump start function.
In my experience it is a lot higher than 3 volts. I use the override often.
9. Manual Override Button To enable, push and hold for three (3) seconds. WARNING: Disables safety protection and manually forces Boost «On».Only for use when a battery voltage is too low to be detected.

I use the jack pak and couldn't be happier. Started my diesel the other day and filled multiple trailer tires on one charge.

I've always carried jumper cables but I learned some things about jumper cables. One, depending on who you're trying to help and where they are stranded you can put yourself in danger trying to orient your vehicle so the jumper cables reach (I've see people do u-turns on freeways to point their vehicle at the disabled vehicle. No bueno!). Jump box solves that. Two, if you can't reach the disabled vehicle (or its a boat in a slip), this solves you trying to find someone to jump you when jumper cables are problematic. Third, with the jump box you can help someone without risking your own vehicle, and its much faster to hook up and jump then go if the area is sketchy.

Personally for me, as I leave the boat in a slip for months, if the bilge pumps run enough when it rains they can drain the batteries. Before the jump pack Id have to get towed to the marina ($75) and then pay the marina to have them charge the batteries, if/when they get to it. Sometimes they wont and now I need to pull the boat off the lake and take it home and charge there which is a royal PITA and then put it back on the lake. Now I can jump start the engine and go do some hot laps on the lake and let the alternator charge the batteries back up. Repeat if needed.

Once you get one, its hugely helpful when you need it. Plus you can charge phones with it as well if you don't want to run the engine for some reason.

One thing I've learned is an emergency use tool that doesn't work is the worst tool.

Norco GB150 for me, You can't have to much jump start power. 6.7 Cummins both batteries dead, this thing starts em.
