not exactly porch pirate story, but sorta close.

just went to the mall with the wife. parked front row. came out and saw her door open.....
went immediately into "somebody's gonna die in 2 minutes mode".....

walked up wide to the door to look for a thief.. fully prepped ready to dance. found nothing.

She actually left the fricken car door open. I shit you not. It took me 5 minutes to get my
heart rate back down. she was worried I was gonna kill someone. who knows.

and I just had a ladder incident 1 week ago so I'm purple from my waist to my knees from hitting the dirt from 12 feet up......

--porch pirates beware. some shit is like a barking dog. you don't know if it's gonna make noise, or make blood.

Doorbell cameras are a must in this day and age. Not foolproof, but better than giving thieves a free pass.
They dont do anything other then show you a video of people stealing your stuff.

The cops either have to have plain dumb luck or the guy is " well known" to them.

Better just to have the stuff shiped tp thier pick up location and go get it.

I like his methodology, he just needs to be more discreet and the brains to not do it at your place of business

This shows the issue with our society. The shop owner was booked with second-degree battery and second-degree kidnapping. He was being held Monday at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in lieu of a $75,000 bond. The burglar was booked with simple burglary after his release the hospital. His bond was set at $10,000.

There is a go-fund me for the shop owner for legal fees. https://www.gofundme.com/f/protecti...edium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cp share-sheet

Only indirectly related to Porch pilfering bandidos, as so far not our problem, but I've got critters where I live and I'm curious what's wandering through my place at night.
I've seen the Bobcats, Deer and yotes, but I've heard neighbors claim there's a larger cat that's been spotted.
Would like to pick up a couple of game cams I can use and move around, especially one or two in my avocado grove.

Any recommendations for a middle of the road decent unit --- really don't want to spend hundreds a piece. I would like the capability to program them so they come on only at night.
No sense wasting battery and storage on me wandering aimlessly around during the day. :p

Read a bunch of reviews on Amazon, pretty typical, love, hate, they're great, they suck --- nuff to drive you crazy.

I don’t think the door bell cameras do any good. I have everything shipped to my office.

I wouldn’t try to booby-trap the thieves, they can sue and win because government defends the wrong group of people.

7 cameras didnt stop 2 fuck heads from robbing my house. Neither did my 2 100+ pound dogs.

Try a machine gun turett.

I didn't say it was an end-all solution. It is better than nothing.

Robbers are going to rob. Nothing will stop them. All you can do is try to detour.

This nerdy little fuck stole 2 box’s of Christmas presents off my porch Saturday afternoon. We have a sign up that says to deposit packages over the locked fence next to my garage. FedEx dude left them on the front step. Needless to say the wife was pissed

Newest update, having packages delivered at my work now. We have a lobby but no receptionist. We have shipping an receiving however. Stupid driver doesn’t even attempt to go to shipping and receiving. These guys are worse than all the other daily idiots!!! I am wondering do these guys get paid on packages delivered? Or hourly
