So my Dad has a neighbor / buddy he’s known for around 45 years. The guy has always been super frugal with his dough … especially with smaller stuff.
But John has some serious dough … several rental properties, everything paid off , homes , duplexes, 4-plexes, shopping centers. All in Orange County & Long Beach.
Big time stock market investor as well, did really well with Apple etc etc.

So this past weekend , the old guys were BS’ing in the garage. John was rambling on about how he’s not sure if he should sell off some of his assets as it’s becoming a lot to keep track of. But he was complaining about the ‘fees’ associated with the sell-offs.

My Pops had heard enough … and barks out , “Have you figured out a way to take it with you????… cause I’ve never seen a trailer hitch on a hearse” !!!!

Not taking it with me but I’d like to setup my kids with some age and reason restrictions in place for taking money out of the trust. Last thing I want to be when I die is an ongoing burden with them having to deal with lots of debt and no assets. Might as well be the other way around.
