I found out restoring one of these old cars is the same as doing an old flat bottom...................you'll spend 3 times what you can get for it when it's done :hmm :thumbsup But I KNOW he's gonna have a kick driving this rig around town & the lake :D I'll be leaving for Idaho next monday :thumbsup

I knew what you meant but you have to admit...that was funny.

It's a roll the window down, reach out, and twist the handle. I think that's how they did it in the day. That car is a bitchen throw back with just enough hot rod thrown in.

I dig it. :thumbsup:thumbsup

LOL - My first car '71 Dodge Charger had a bad driver side door hinge. I worked the nascar egress for more than a year until I could find one at a pick a part.

OCMerrill - Likes Cars maybe a little to much. :D:D

Were those pics taken at Diamond Valley Lake?

yeah, up at the visitor center. I was talking to one of the "old women" volunteer's at the gaurd shack/info station. I casualy mentioned what a great place to run boat races :D Anyway's this "old lady" looks me up & down & sez, "you race boats do ya?" I say , yeah back in MY day and she say's " I was the 1st woman to be officialy clocked at over 100 mph in a boat  She KNEW all the "guy's" from Rudy Ramos, Howard Brown, Ed Olsen, Skip Volk, I mean she rattled off names I've only heard of :thumbsup Her name is Molly Ballou, if you ever stop in there, talking to her is worth the trip. My camera battery went dead or I'd have taken her picture :D

The water district fawked the general public over that lake. Unless you own a 4 stroke 3 star OB you not getting on that sucker.

When they were making it the visitors center showed camp grounds, swimming areas, water ski area. How that changed once they stuck water in there.

And you forgot the equestrian riding trails that "WERE" gonna hookup with lake skinner and the HUGE marina with "slipping" options you could have left your "WATER SKI BOAT" in :swear bunch of lying, cheating, bottom of the deck dealing sob's
AND to boot, IF you had a boat you want to put on the lake, it has to be inspected AND approved BEFORE you can launch  good luck on EVER finding one of the "boat inspectors" at the lake

I forgot about that Marina. The drawings of that in the BS Visitors center showed a state of the art marina. Really bitchen....:skull:skull

We called last year and asked and were told based on the year of my boat (1992)that I will most likely not pass inspection even though it is all stock (kinda). No real reason given except it's to old and not and emissions certified engine.

It's a 4 year old or newer small HP OB Pontoon boat lake. They like this setup because there is no bilge water to deal with.

A big lie, total BS to get that focker dug out and built. We were also told that the inspection times vary and are posted daily. So you basically have to sit there all day and hopefully get inspected.

You never hear about the lake because it's basically like Lake Mathews. Look but don't touch and by the way you paid for it. Also they filled DVL in 1/3 the projected time during drought conditions. More BS and just goes to sho anyone smart enough to read that our political system is just a joke. A better Joke than any other country I might add but still.
