Looking for someone to service or repair my pool heat pump.
Throws a high refrigerant code and shuts off.

Any suggestions for someone capable in Havasu?

A good portion of the A/C people work on the pool heat pumps. Not too many differences in the way they work. I believe Cool Wave, on Kiowa, works on the pool heat pumps or so I've been told.

Try Robert with Code Blue Pools (909) 728-6422

Just built our pool and I know he does maintenance on some equipment/brands. If he doesn’t answer shoot him a text. He’s normally pretty responsive but I know they are slammed like everyone else.

Yes its a Pentair.

Thanks for the recommendations all.

Finally after 2 weeks got a repair person to show up, turns to be a high pressure switch. Will be another couple weeks for the part.....It's Havasu service speed, guess I need to adjust my patience

Dealing with a similar issue as well. Pool guy turned the pool off because the system has a leak/losing pressure. Trying to get the home warranty rep out to take care of it has been a nightmare. Hoping it’ll be done by this weekend.

Thought I'd offer some more advice on the Pentair heat pump. Get yourself a couple of these capacitors, they seem to eat themselves up when it's very hot out and you're trying to cool the pool. Hartland Controls CAP-80/7.5/440R. Our pool has been in for 6 years and I've replaced it 3 times on our heat pump and twice on a friends heat pump. They were about $60.00 from SCP and even more from amazon or online. I get them for about $12.00 -$15.00 from some electrical place online. They're not hard to find and even easier to install when your heat pump won't stay compressing (running).
I've got three of them in my spare parts drawer for the pool.. It's not just the cost of the part but the time waiting for some AC guy to come out and take a look at your heat pump that won't stay in compress mode.

What model Pentair heat pump do you have? I just had one installed last August when my pool was completed but have yet to fire it up to cool the pool down. I just want to make sure I buy the right part for my model.

I'm not sure of the size, it's either the 120H/C or the 140H/C but I'm sure they have the same start/run capacitor. Both are called ULTRATEMP heat Pump. The heat pumps work fine until about the 118 ambient degree range and then trying to deal with that temp along with trying to do it's job the, is just a little over welming for it. I don't blame the unit at all, it's fricking brutal out here. This year I'm going to install a couple of those sail/shade dealio's just to shade the pool and help the water stay cooler so that poor heat pump doesn't have to work it's balls off to keep up.

Same here. Luckily my equipment doesn't get the afternoon sun as it is shaded by the house but I still plan on installing some sunshades.

My equipment has been covered (shade screen) since day one and still has it's original tanish color. I'm going to put up a couple of those shade/sail things over the pool with hurry up and take down hardware when the fricking wind wants to blow them down to the lake.
