So who you got in Havasu that actually cleans when they say they will?


I asked my guy if I put a solar blanket on if he will still clean and watched him on the camera this morning. A small piece of the cover flew off and the guy walks around it and doesn’t put it back on. Just cleans the skimmer and walks back around the piece of the cover again to his truck. Doesn’t clean the tiles or the crap out of the pool. So I text him and say when will you be cleaning the pool today and he says we just did.


So anyone have a cleaner who works for my money?

I use My Havasu Pool & Spa Service. Paul is the owner and operator.

He does a awesome job for me. Always calls or text and updates me on the pool. I used a few other pool guys prior and canned them all. Paul is great for us. He has been cleaning my pool for years now.

What's the deal, just want a basic service. Check chems, brush tile and sides, clean skimmer, is it that difficult?

Last 2 Havasu company's start strong and end up cheating a basic service but want full pay WTF.

Showed up for Thanksgiving, spa was green, skimmer full, areas where vaccum doesn't get were filthy. Looked over camera history, only cleaned 1x in a month. Showed up for 3-5 min 3 other times and did nothing.....frustrating.

Nice to hear you have kept with it, "earned" an increase and seem to understand being a professional. Thumbs up.

Crazy thing is that when I have been approached for an increase my response has been, sounds fair.

I used to meet up with a bunch of guys in Glamis. They were always there before I could get there, and they always stayed a day or two after I have to leave to get back to work. They all had the nicest shit, big motorhomes, the nicest buggies, etc. One day I asked them what they did for a living. They laughed and said we’re all pool guys. We just put an extra tablet in the skimmer and the homeowners never know we were not there.

Been in the business for 35 years....LMO at the comments in this thread. $80 a month? I wouldn't pull in your driveway for less than $150 let alone walk in your back yard. If the pool is clean and clear you are getting what you pay for no matter how much time I spend or how much I charge you. Watch me on a camera and complain...I fire you. Anyone knows as well as I that solar covers are a pain in the ass...you can't pay me enough to waist my time wrestling with them...corners get lifted, water tested...done. Again, if the pool is clean and clear you are getting what you pay for. One more thing, scrubbing tile is a fucking joke unless it's an oily mess...other than that you're just making more money for a tile blaster. I make it look easy because I know what I'm doing...any of my new clients are lucky to have me because of my experience not the strength of my back. I pick and choose who is worthy enough to be on my route because I can.

Good Luck finding anybody in Havasu to clean a pool for $80 bucks these days, lol. I pay my guy $125 and he’s just so-so. I’ll probably be replacing him after my snowbirds leave in April.

I am on my 3rd pool cleaner and we are paying $150 a month in Havasu. We have been paying $125 a month since the pool was filled in January of 2020. I think you are off on your assessment.

We use Pool Guard. He does a good job. Pool is clean and keeps the old equipment moving along.

Update on our pool company.

So I sent an email and simply shared my concerns. They admitted it's their issue, proposed how to fix it, said don't pay last month's service bill, came the following day with 2 people and detailed the pool and spa.

I'm impressed, hats off to someone who didn't make excuses and just fixed the problems.

We have used Everclear here in Havasu Since the pool was new. Just went up to $120/ month but our guy Eric is always a phone call away if needed. Always does full service so all I need to do is daily brushing and scoop out what falls in.
