Pick up the phone and call an expert. I think I finally found a company to do my annual detail. These guys polished the boat twice and waxed it once. It took 2 guys 4 hrs and I'm glad I called. That was going to be too much work. They were professionals with a nice van, a good setup inside collared shirts and a good price. Now we're ready for Parker this weekend

They polished it twice and waxed it in 4 hours? That seems really fast?

What rough range $ wise would we be looking at for a 20' boat?

$400-450 would be a safe bet. That works out to be about $50 per man hour. Not bad IMO

Thanks

Going rate is usually $10-$15 per foot, but with all the extra polishing that seems fair to me.

Looks great!!

I'm getting the Boat dialed in for this year. I had a German Shepard mix run across my deck and clawed his way through the gel last summer. I thought foresure it was going to be major Gel repair. The guys over at WOT worked there magic and we were able to color sand 99% of the scratches out. I'm beyond happy about this! We also fixed a few things like new stainless steel rub rail and a few of the speakers were rotted out. Now the Boats ready for this weekend as long as the trailer repairs are done by Friday.

Now that's it's all polished up we shouldn't have a problem towing it behind this new rig

I was looking at those awhile back! Lol. Did you get one? What do you think? They are freakin cheap, but I was concerned it would just end up being yard art at my house and I would never use it.

The trailer needs a few repairs and that Pic was done at the shop doing the repairs. One of the main support rails cracked.

They were installing a 15k lb trailer hitch. That thing was bad ass

I have had three! They are fun as hell to drive and easy to work on. I bought mine because I was sick of getting my pickup stuck when trying to get my camper down to the waters edge at Elephant Butte lake in New Mexico. When we moved to Phoenix I really did not have a need for it anymore and ended up selling all 3. If I could park one at my house I would still have the one in the pick. I got tired of paying storage fees for it.

They will go anywhere.... Just not very fast...

Go big or go home.

We have this roaming around the butte now. It's a 70 ton, for those really heavy jet boats.

That prop looks ruthless Brian... Not your typical deal you would see on a big stoker?

It worked pretty good. 84 MPH at 5400 RPM. I need to work on the jack plate settings and adjustments. The plate moves so much and I have no gauge to check its location. I will add that for Kyle to do next service

Do you have a water pressure gauge?

I think he was asking about the pressure so you can mess with the jack plate and ensure you don't lose water pressure due to it being too high. But, if you're running a sport master (which I'm sure you are) it has the low water pick-ups and I wouldn't be too concerned about losing water pressure unless that prop is walking across the water.

Yes, I have a water sensor.

I can see the Jack Plate when I drive so Im going to mark it with level, 1" up and 2" up from bottom. The higher the plate gets the less trim you have. I feel like its a rubix cube of combinations when you drive

I was getting 80+ easily Saturday and Monday it was a challenge so I need to play with it a little more and understand what level the jack plate is at all times.

I'd start with the trim neutral and raise the jack plate til you start to see either the speed or h2o pressure drop off. Then drop it back down a scoshe. Theoretically that should yield the most efficient position. However if the boat naturally produces a lot of bow rise (aka attack angle) you'll need to be slightly positive trim to keep the propshaft horizontal in the water.
