Poker Run

Rollin in to Havi on Thursday night. Plan on being across from Steamboat early on Saturday to see the show. Goin home late Sunday.

I doubt you'll see much in that location on Sat. That would be past the run down area for the Shoot Out.

Going to Parker house Wednesday evening, launching Thursday morning from Springs. Tying up with Phat Cat and Honcho along side the houseboat on the beach @ Nautical for Thursday night and Friday night. Going back to the river house Saturday morning. :beer

Friday - Probably dropping in near the dam for the Poker Run viewing....don't know if I am going all the way up to the after...may just head back to Parker

Saturday - Not sure where I am going to launch out...but want to watch the Speed Runs from a good viewing point.

Sunday - Parker

Monday - Come home...

Twin turbo Vector no mufflers, checked with all the boat shops in Havi not one could tell me if the LE's would bother me big time or not due to the no muffler issue, not that loud because of the turbos but all they need to do is to take one look and see the open pipes, pull me over and bump up my boat...

I know a lot of the big boat with the big blower motors have no mufflers and are very loud. The 27 has no mufflers and the water never mixes with the exhaust. The turbo motors arent real loud until you start to buzz some rpms and get into the boost. I honestly dont think that you will have a problem with noise on the poker run weekend. They seem to relax the rules for most boating issues out there. I'll say this, I would run the Schiada up there on any weekend without mufflers. But you have to do what makes you comfortable. I would hate for you to get a tickets after I told you not to.

If it makes ya feel any better I ran into a La Paz LEO in a twin turbo boat setup similar to yours, and they said it was fine.

Like to much power in a boat not designed for it?

It would probably be the Game and Fish dept that would be my worst critic going through the gorge down to havi.

Sat: Kilo Run Shootout Thompson Bay. They say best land location is Rotary Beach.
Sun: POPR and OSS races same spot as Kilo run.

Yep they did it to my last boat and I was not happy at all...

As for the trip Not sure at all right now, I will know more on Monday. You going to be there Sat and Sun? I was thinking that if I am able to make it I would drop the boat in across the way on the Cali side on Sunday near the casino, might be much easier than driving it down from needles and back. I would think they are a bit less picky on the boats that get dropped also fuel availability concern. No 110 on the water so I have to gauge it right..

Anyway input from anyone dropping on that side of Havi ?

Well let me know once ou make a decision. I will be up there sometime Friday, Sat and Sun for the fun in the sun.

I don't have any imput on that side of the lake...never launched there.
