Sad part is that a lot of these guys actually think it’s funny. It’s one thing to be ignorant, it’s a whole other to know it’s unsafe for others and that it causes irreversible harm to the rivers and lakes and yet still do it while laughing about it.

Docks have a shelf life a little longer than boating forums. Your good for a couple more years.

Those boats make huge wakes even not in surf mode. They only go 35/40 mph and don’t really “get on plane” like a traditional boat. If you ever see one on a trailer, you realize they are massive.

I’m talking about the newer surf boats, not a few year old wake board boat.

Unfortunately there are tons of these on the river I’m at in Idaho. When you keep a real boat at your dock you have an almost daily parade of them plowing up real close to gawk at the real boat. Almost none of them bothering to notice the beating their inflicting on the dock, boat, shoreline etc.
