I don't know if area matters much anymore. Like said, society sucks. My last house was in a far more upscale area than I live now.

I'd just left, about dusk. A big guy knocks on my door, wife answers. He asks about a weight set on CL. My wife tells him we don't have one listed. "But this was the address..." "Sorry, not here". As she shuts the door, she sees another thuggish guy around the corner. She calls me, and I make some tracks, rolling coal in a straight piped diesel. I passed their shitbox leaving my house.

The next week she had her own .357, and a few months later we were gone. Thugs don't target homes in the hood for profit. Either not enough to gain, or heavily armed. The nice areas people feel safe in. Less of a chance of problems for them.

I'd like to think he wasn't up to anything, but reality is he was and answering the door armed is the right call.

We had a few hoodlums stop by yesterday that the ring cam picked up

and then again last night sneaking around. Surprised how good the ring cams pickup with virtually no light.
