A family member has Playboy stroke mags from about 1963 to the mid 1970s. I don't think it is every issue but most. Condition of the mags is generally good but not mint.

Does this collection have any value? If so, how could that value be extracted?

A guy tried to sell a collection on Pawn Stars and Rick Harrison told him there were so many old men collecting them, all but a few of the early issues had any inherent value. Plus condition means a lot. '63-mid 70's wouldn't be worth much.

Seriously, if you travel in Mexico and you ever need to pay off the Federalis, Playboys and Budweiser are almost as good as gold.

A number of years ago a friend and I bought out the collector-quality back-issue Playboy stock of a retiring vendor, more than 2500 issues. We sold quite a lot of them through Ebay as well as our own online storefront before we both got too busy with our other projects to continue. As has been said here, only the very early issues are really worth anything and then only in really good condition. The majority you'd be lucky to get a couple bucks each.
