The plasti-dip just peels off if you don't want it anymore right?

Yes! On the can it says it peels off on most surfaces. I've seen guys spray everything on their cars including rims!

I was thinking about doing the rims on the porsche and tinting the windows, messed around in photoshop to see how it looks. I like the idea of being able to pull it off if I don't like it. I doubt I'll get much past the photoshop phase LOL

The chrome wheels are fucked up on my IS300. So I plast-dipped them. Then I used clear coat after to take away the matte finish.

I scuffed it with sandpaper. Only because the chipped clear coat would show lines.

With plasti-dip you don't have to tape the section off you want to paint. You just paint and peel off what you don't want.

I'm losing the clear on my truck hood. Sanded it and plasti dipped it and my chrome wheels. The stuff is awesome.

O'reilly. It's made by Duplicolor. It's called wheel coating. It works great.

I got the clear at O'reilly in Pacific Beach. I ordered the gun metal color plasti-dip from amazon.

I did the wheels on my Roush. I love it. Other than I noticed a few spots I need to spray a little more on a front wheel, it was pretty painless. They also make a clear glossifier just for Plastidip now.

Would it work on the hood of a car? My son's Cherokee has bad clear coat rash on the hood. We were joking about putting a carbon fiber wrap over it....but this paint looks like it would be cool on there...would it hold up to the heat?

It's great. I've had it on the Jeep grill for a year now. High pressure washes, and all... no problem.
