Grew up in del amo mall arcade Torrance plunge and madrona marsh, back in the days when pin ball, hairy bush and killing frogs were cool.

Me too, my grandparents lived near the Marsh, and I used to spend hours there, hunting giant bull frogs, and porn mags.

I know I'm going to regret this age wise, but I grew up in what is now Anaheim Hills between Imperial and Weir Canyon. My brothers and I and the neighbor kids used to ride our stingrays north down the hill to goof around in the Santa Ana River........ because the 91 freeway hadn't been built yet!
We used to go from Riverside to the beach and past the house on Santa Ana canyon road with the rocket in the roof.

The one in Redlands? If so piles and piles of BACON!!

Funny story the church I grew up going to was Adventist (vegetarian) and some of the families would get together and go to brunch after church on Saturdays. Most of the time we went to sizzler for the all you can eat salad bar but sometimes we’d go to Griswolds for the all you can eat brunch.

We’ll you could imagine the look of horror as my brother and I happily walked back to the kids table with HUGE piles of bacon on our plates!! Bacon is the most vile of meats to Adventist!!

If your not talking about Griswolds in Redlands hopefully someone on here remembers that place.
I grew up being told that my fathers family was Adventist. However no one told me that adventists are supposed to be vegetarians. My grandfather’s favorite meal was a steak and a beer, and I was raised on everything.

I would up going to an Adventist college and I was very shocked the first time I walked into the school cafeteria.

What I found even funnier was guys who were real adventists would invite me to In N Out and actually get a burger like it was some kind of secret sin.

Anyway I figured out adventists make up for vegetarian by covering everything with cheese. So I skipped out on the school food and went out to eat every day.

Millers Out post in San Bernardino I remember the giant pair of Levi's they had hanging on the wall.
If you're from that area, you might remember Schaff's, bought a lot of Levi's from them also.

Did anyone mention The Wonderbowl in Downey.
I graduated from Downey High. Few years prior to our graduation, Downey High had been banned from Disneyland's HS Senior All night party. Seems a few of our alums had raised holly hell at D'land and ended up in jail. So, we had our All Night Party at Wonderbowl. It was actually kind of boring.

A few long gone Las Vegas sites, Sands Hotel and Casino, The Hacienda, El Rancho Vegas, The Desert Inn, Jack Dennison's Copper Cart, The Stardust Hotel & Casino (decent $20 rooms) and the Teenbeat Club and Saturday TV show on KLAS. Among many others. At the Hilton International you could have a prime rib dinner, while watching Elvis' Show for $18.00. Or watch the Ike & Tina Turner Review in their lounge for free.

How about Gay's Lion Farm in El Monte?

If you remember, you're old as dirt.

Only reason I knew that place had existed was curiosity...the lion statue on the side of the road. Got out of the truck and read the plaque. Would have been such a cool time and place.

Steen's in Alhambra. My brother and I would ride our bicycles up Valley Blvd to look at the new Hodaka's, Bultaco's, Rickman's, . . and drool on the windows.

605 fwy was the first to have the reflective markers on the lines for the lanes. At night we’d sneak onto the 605 before it was opened. Back then it felt like we were driving down an airport runway.
