Pit Boss grill fire going out

Have a relatively new Pit Boss grill , it starts fine and gets up to temp like it should , but then the fire just goes out but the auger keeps feeding pellets. What do you guys think the problem is ? I usually just take it apart and clean the fire pit out and start over and it’s good to go

Is it doing it every time? How often are you cleaning it out?

Are the vents wide open?

It sounds like your burner rod is not heating up and getting the pellets on fire.

Could also be wet pellets or bad pellets. I had the same problem with a gmg smoker.

How are you turning it off?

If it lights ( or smokes on start up) its probably not the ignitor rod

Been cleaning it out every 3rd time or so

Just to the off position , but the fan still runs for maybe 5 minutes

I had the ignitor recede into the tub that holds it. Set screw was loose. It caused similar problems you are having. Not sure if that is it, but worth a try.
