I said no breakfast burrito's served and no more wifi...it is a long running joke around here regarding breakfast burrito's after the few hour long ordeal of terrible service...nothing more nothing less...I see comments all over the boards asking "Do they serve breakfast burrito's...I laugh about it"

Reading some of these comments with regards to the pirate now, not only in this thread but on PB since the place opened, I have to say....

some of you people are retards.

I have only been to the pirate in moabi 3 times.. All 3 times the drinks were cold, the waitresses were smoking hot, and the food was awesome.

Stopped by the one in Parker just to check it out on opening day.. They had a limited menu, our food was fast, the beer was cold, and the waitresses weren't smoking hot, but still easy enough on the eyes to make it a nice atmosphere.

The furniture, and the details in these places are absolutely amazing. The seat backs are water jet or something with pirate logos and skulls and cross bones etc.. Other then parts of disneyland, I have never seen more attention to detail on decor anywhere for a themed place then either one of the pirates.

Here's what I don't get.. People get "mad" that there is a pirate bar in Parker.. Who cares? There is room enough for everyone.

If you want a laid back old school river vibe with strong drinks goto foxes.
if you want a legit old school party bar, where a "body shot" isn't uncommon, and a wild party at night goto road runner.
If you want family friendly disneyland, tom sawyer island for the family goto the pirate bar.

For myself I'm a roadrunner guy at heart.. I like the wild shit. I miss the days of Sun Dance.. I know when Sierra is 2 - 3 - 4 etc.. I'll be taking her to the Pirate bar, because it's a favorite for the kids.

Last weekend I was watching the little kids run down to the pirate ship on the dock this last weekend, and some of the kids running and saying I CAN'T WAIT!! I was thinking, damn I can't wait until Sierra gets to do that. I remember being a little kid and walking down main street disneyland, and this place gives me that same vibe.

I know in a couple of weeks when I drag my mom to the river, the 1st place I'll be taking her is the Pirate, because road runner isn't exactly her deal. I'm happy I have a place I can take her and she would like it.

Ha Ha Ha...your post is why some of us grind the place...some of us know shit about this place that is bad, surprisingly, the owner is not there just to make YOUR river trip more pleasurable.

But, since some people have personally talked to the owner, who fed them the same Kool Aid he fed the county, and are convinced that the place paid for itself the first year, its hard to convince them of the douche bag this guy

I always have access, I have a high speed connection at every location I vacation at and air cards for the road so I would never need or use public services..

Agreed if you don't like it, get a fuckin grip and go eat and drink elsewhere. I don't like the old Topac Bar but don't sit on here and continually rip on it. I used to chill in the Moabi Channel for years before the Pirates Bar was there, I remember when people where bitchin about all the new traffic and Havasu crowd. I on the other hand love it.

For the haters, please tell me where else you can get a good bite to eat, a good cocktail and great atmosphere north of the Havasu Channel? You can't! Granted there was Topac until a year ago but that was it. Your only other option is Lazy Harry's in Bullhead but the water is shallow up on that stretch of river and its hard to get in and out of there. I only hope that more places like this open on the river!

The owner is a pretty cool guy. He came over to me and my group of fiends (he may have noticed the money we where spending in there or something) and introduced himself and brought us some t-shirts. I go places to be entertained and have a good time. Sure I can go park on a beach and drink beers and eat sandwiches out of my cooler, but sometimes I want some atmosphere. I love restaurants that treat there regulars and even there first timers well. Another place that is really good at this is Clubhouse 66 in Glendora. If you haven't been, I highly suggest it!

Actually I do! It's called making even MORE profit. Now I don't know if they are profitable or not but business is all about multiple income streams. If they see that they can charge? Go for it. If it turns business away then I'm sure it will be back to free.

Remember the Nautical and their tie up fee? It's all about testing the waters. A business owner has to constantly revamp and stay up to date on ways to make money.
