Grass is deep this year. My dogs running the hill behind the house. The little one (sausage dog) is out front of the black dog and every couple of steps her head pops up for a looksie around and then gone… you can see her head popped up if you zoom. Lol

And my friend’s BGF is in the trailer and ready for Ming next weekend! Spring is here. Gonna be a good year!

Raceboats aren’t gonna launch themselves, you know. I got some work to do. Lol!

Can't wait to get back there! My Cousin picked up a houseboat last year at Lakeview! Been hearing about jumping off some bridge out there for years...looks like Im going to get my chance :)
That’s where our Houseboat is!

The Bridge is up Sycamore to the end. Its always a big party up there. Its only safe from full pool to maybe 90%

Lots of fun dodging the cops, who frown on the jumping. “Nothing to see here. Just a few tourists walking across a bridge with wet shorts, flip flops and no shirt, miles from anywhere…. And Im definitely not planning to jump off this bridge to the boat party below… “

They’ve been dumping water since mid February. Frickin’ waste!

Riverland already has water.

No doubt Kings river will be epic this year.
Yeh but run off starts it will be full for sure normally I’d say gotta hold water back but so much more is coming from run off. When we had place in Merced early 80s we hit all the Central Valley lakes lot of great times and best lakes out there.

I think those big scary silver looking spillways on the dam are going to be used this spring

Was always a little bit nervous letting go by the dam at full pool. Lol

As kids we would ski around the dam cove 10/15 laps. let go at the south west corner next to that big concrete dam

Then park the boat and walk on that dam
As a kid it was unbelievable
Greatest memories at that lake

So you were a main marina/ lakeridge family.

We were Trimmer folk( white trash of PF, lol!) we were up where most of Lumpy’s video was taken.

Cool thing about PFL is lots good places to go

And the spill way freaked me out as a kid, too. Lol!

we camped at island park on the overflow cg for a good 17 years. 1968--1985.
parents left boat, next to the store across from rec room and trailer park.
If the lake was at full pool, we camped on trimmer springs road, at entrance to IP
we called it Driftwood trailer park.
My dad and mom loved pine flats. they would still go up, just to stay the night.
they were introduced, into the boating lifestyle at pine flats. they first drove up in 68' in his 912 Porsche. it really wasn't about boating, for them. it was about waterskiing and being with a 100 of there closet friends.
in 69" dad bought a 16' sportster with a 140 I/O. pulled the boat up with moms 68 mustang. we slept in the boat, until they bought a camper van . 1971.
shit sorry to crash your thread.

No worries, this is why I post. Love these stories! You are OG !

IP and Driftwood are still here! Hell- my driveway is 100 yards past the IP turn down .

I started coming around 1980 and haven't stopped.

Pine flats
Is where we all learned to ski
One summer I think 20 kids all got up on one ski we must have all been around 9-10 years old
Lots of champagne flowing for the parents
Then margarita afternoon
Hell even us kids as teenagers were able have a cup or two
Tried to find our photo album of pine flats
Wife hid it from me lol
As I have fond memories of PF
All I have is this one picture of me, skiing by the dam , 1980 cold memorial weekend . I was 14 .

Did you know the Crismans, Zinggs or Maness's? My wifes family had a ranch near the dude ranch for many years going back to the 70's.

How’s the debris up there Neil? Kaweah is a mess, I think everything that could wash away in Three Rivers is in the lake. Now the mud hole has houseboats, wood debris, propane bottles and other random shit spread all over.

Hardly any debris so far, Mike… Seriously though— log jams are gonna be a bitch early…
