I really want one. I've loved playing them my whole life. My Aunt and Uncle had a really cherry one called "Paragon" by Bally when I was growing up. Unfortunately, a cousin scored it as we grew older.

I'm gonna get one soon. Better than a play station.

Plus they sound rad.

Oh, man...this thread hits home. I love pinball machines, more so than video games back in the day. There are a handful that I absolutely must own one day.

I've been wanted one for along time. Blackout was one of my favorites.

The price of those things is what stops me. They can be high dollar for one in good condition.

I just dropped a bunch of change on a Sig M400. That set me back alittle. :thumbsup

My Uncle had/has the Playboy machine.
Not sure the status of that.
I wouldn't mind scoring that someday.

Damn those things are pricey. I just looked on EBAY and Craig's list and you can't touch one for under 2K.

I've been planning on about $3500 for the one I want, in the condition I want it in.

I have a friend who deals in coin operated machines, have sent him this link. He may need to sign up, he hasn't been much of a boater, but has been pulling a ski racer for practice at Castaic.

I bought a Captain Hook 3 months ago from a guy in Dallas. He restores machines and sells them.

Mine looks and operates like it was made yesterday. $1,500.

It gets more play than all the other stuff in the game room. Everybody seems to love pinball. Great investment.

I have a couple in storage, they are in pristine condition sans needing all new rubber throughout the boards/flippers. One is a Bally's Midway 'Dungeons and Dragons', the other is Williams 'Fire'. I need to get them out and dial them in.

(These are the same machines, but pics from google image search)

We have High Speed by Williams. Pristine condition. There is a pinball museum here in LV and the owner is the guy that comes over to repair and do regular service on it. He also sells if you are looking. Not cheap. Mine would set you back 2-3K.
I'll take a pic when I get home.

Now you guys are talking. I have 2 in Cali and 2 in Havi. My fav will always be Twilight Zone. Just never get tired of playing. I envy the guys back east with cellars that can accommodate 10, 20, or more machines. Good luck wth your searches.

Wes has mad negotiating skills and a Suburban that will drive from here to there to get the best deal... should be an epic thread. :D

My collection will start with Paragon... And maybe end with it.

I haven't met it's equal. It's the most "player" game I have ever played. Truly eliminates the JV quickly. But a great player gets free ball after free ball... But somehow, it always equalizes about the same time even with real shooters.

VERY difficult to roll over, only a handful of people I've seen do it, and it was a big deal in the house.

I've been there many times before, I asked one of the guys there that was working on a machine in the back if he did house calls, and he told me no. This was about 4 years ago probably though when they were in the old location further east on Trop near the theater

Pinball machines are fucking awesome. My friends and I would always play Theatre of Magic down at the local donut shop back when we were 16-17. We would literally spend hours there playing.

We had all the high scores. Multi-ball was awesome. Nobody could touch any of us on that game. Then one day the donut shop closed due to changing owners. When it re-opened, the game was gone. About 5 years would go by until I saw the game again in some place in Diamond Bar. I about shit myself seeing this game. I haven't seen it since.

I have a spot in my game room, where only Theatre of Magic will go.:thumbsup

I have an old Brunswick one in my Havasu house garage (early 80's) that the kids always enjoy playing on. Not super fancy but fun none the less. There's a guy in Havasu that restores and sells them. His name is IMG_8864.jpg Steve and the business name is Pimp in Pinballs in case anyone's looking for one out there. (951)205-0654

Lived across the street from del amo mall, spent many days there from morning to night becoming a pinball wizard, plus my uncle ran a few skating rinks so free play all day long was never a issue. I never ended up getting one but my cousin had a couple of them as we got older.

My parents bought this for my brother for a birthday I think. We played this thing a lot. It's now in my other brother's game room and now the grandkids play it. Love the old school scoring and look.
