I had a cat once. She was a good cat. She would let me hold her on her back and rub her belly like my dogs do. Supposedly that’s a trust thing and I was the only person she’d let do that. She would sit there and purr.

One time I was digging in my ear and the cat was sitting next to me. Some wax came out on my finger and I said what the hell, the cat is right here and I let her sniff the wax. The “mentally challenged” cat ate the ear wax. The cat looked at me with its shallow eyes as if begging for more ear wax. That became a thing. Kids were always digging in their ears trying to feed the cat wax. The cat had to go.

No more cats.

I really miss this guy. He would hang out and watch football with me and come when called.

This one has also captured my heart. She's getting up there, turns 12 in a week.

I just got a miniture dachshund. best dog ive ever had so far. had a great dane, bloodhound, few labs. this pup is crazy smart and has a great personality! i always said id never have a little dog and the purse dogs usually drive me nuts! never barks never whines, just cruises. happiest little thing ive ever seen.

Charlie. Best friend a guy could ever ask for. Goes with me everywhere I go except for on a plane or in the store. I wish a $5 WalMart pull rope could bring me a fraction of the excitement and joy that it brings this guy day after day.

Not sure I get your point.
You were the one mining the ear canals not the cat so it seems it was more of a "you thing" than a "your cat thing".
Also, dogs will eat poop. No winners there.

If she would have ate boogers, we would have kept her.

In all honesty, I loved that cat. We only got rid of her because when we got a dog, she was banished to the basement, that was unfinished at the time, and I didn't feel like it was fair to her.

Super cute pup. They can be a bit yappy on occasion but are very sturdy playful dogs.
If you are going to allow it in your bed get stairs as they love to jump and the landing is very hard on the back and neck.
