Firebird was awesome last year. I was blown away by it.

Thank you for posting these pictures. It would have been nice to go this year but it didn't work out. These pics bring back memories of the smell burning alcohol, the oppressive sound of a top fuel run, and blue gorilla faces popping up everywhere.

Thank you for posting these pictures. It would have been nice to go this year but it didn't work out. These pics bring back memories of the smell burning alcohol, the oppressive sound of a top fuel run, and blue gorilla faces popping up everywhere.

They don't put the rudder on in the middle behind / between the props until at the ramp....it's very long:smackhead This boat I believe lost round one didn't start up in time:swear

That guy told us he pushed a head gasket, but hadn't seen it. Gear driven procharger making 45 psi of boost. After the head gasket, he blew the welds on the intake.

It sucked anyway. TAF no longer works on boats and has become a news commentator. Photochick has retired from actual photography and sits around partyin now. There were no Kboats in attendence. The local rent-a-driver got knocked out in simi's and had no circle ride. There were only 10 top fuel hydros, 11 TAF's, and 10 or so TAH's, 18 pro-mods, the boring list goes on.

You didn't miss much.
