So what say you, who is the best?

Retrax, Truck covers USA, Bak Rollback, Roll and Lock, Gator?

who has experience. Just curious as the new truck needs one when delivered... Currently use the Truck Covers USA model, not bad but at end of life at year 6.

Had a Retrax on my last truck and it was a good cover. I have the Truxedo Lo-Pro QT Roll-up cover on my current truck and like it.

Mine is going on 3 years, would the 303 kind of renew it or is it needed when new.
Thanks

When you apply it seems to freshen it up but it's not a cleaner.
To clean it I use Lexol Vinylex which is a cleaner and conditioner. It has UV protection as well

I was looking at these online the other night and was curious if anyone has one of these that flip? Especially one that can be opened from either the front or the back?

I recommend BAK products just because my company makes a ton of parts for them and it's all assembled locally in SoCal

Paul, I have a Bakflip for my new truck and love it. But it only opens from the back, although the tailgate doesn't have to be open. I haven't seen one that opens up by the cab.

I was looking at these: https://www.foldacover.com/photos-and-video/

I will have a toolbox/extra gas tank in the new truck and thinking this would be a good way to get into the tool box in front as well as cover the bed when not towing a 5th wheel (which I don't even have yet;)

Ive a Bak Industries VP on my truck and I like it a lot. It's very low profile, it can be folded all the way up the back of the back window and propped up there so that you have 95% of your bedspace available for towing a 5th wheel or hauling stuff without having to remove the cover completely. It's vinyl covered so you can't see the hinges and it looks really slick. I got mine shipped for free with no tax for under $700 brand new. Only issue has been that the little u clips that hold the support poles up when the cover is closed broke and I'm sure they are cheap and easy to order as well.
