Cole Thurston made an awesome pass this afternoon. Through the traps the boat acted up and my son Paul, caught a twenty shot sequence of it. Here's one of the good ones. He saved the pass but had some other issues after the shut-down.

Look at the water between the blower pulley and the wing brace.

The boat sustained damage during the episode of jumps. We have the high-resolution shot and a closer look will show an unusual piece of black just over the cavitation plate hardware on the driver's side rear corner. Even this photo will show it if you look carefully. It was a portion of the hull's corner that ripped out. What you cannot see is that the hull sustained too much damage in that corner to continue to float after shut-down. It was a masterful driving job indeed!
