Anybody have this done? Had a quote for my house $8,700.00 seems a little steep? But maybe that’s the going rate ?

Had to look up what this was. Not a bad idea. there are a couple of spots on my roof that gets my heart pumping a bit as it's right at the end of the effective range of my ladder, which was made in China and I'm not light...

What kind of warranty do they offer?

It’s 6 yrs on the lights and 2 yr unlimited there are a ton of different lights trying to narrow down something decent but that price tag seems a tad high ? Idk maybe that’s the going rate

I have something similar. If you are doing that many linear feet the price seems reasonable. We did the front of our house early Covid for 3500ish IIRC, my neighbor inquired last year and the price had almost tripled. There are a few companies that offer similar lighting so you might have a couple of other options if you shop around.

Never having to climb a ladder to have a string of lights again is priceless. Also, they qualify as a “security” light for some home insurances and may qualify you for a small discount.

I met these guys at a show years ago. Nice product and good guys. I believe they have a dealer network for install.

Sorry, that's gay.

Some nice up-lighting in the trees and around the base of the home is better looking to me. The light is nice, but seeing the bulbs is not sexy. Unless it is Christmas, that's a no for me, dog. Plus ground lighting involves zero ladders! LOL

Interesting. Fx luminaire is a high end landscape lighting company. Sounds like this company took a play on their words.

There is a small commercial construction company owner that lives about 4 blocks from us and he has something similar. At first I thought it looked weird but most times he has red, white and blue lights waterfalling and it looks great. Definitely not Christmas lights but still a nice look on his house. I've been thinking about something like this for our home, but NFW would I pay that much for it. I am not to old / fat to put them up myself though and would consider doing it for under 2K.

A ton of houses in N TX have Jellyfish lighting. Is that available in your area? It looks bad ass, and they discount heavily in the offseason. I would have gone with them if we were staying.

Was at Lowe's a couple of weeks ago and they had these Govee LED 33ft outdoor string lights on clearance from $80 to $30. Took a gamble on them and pretty cool. App driven with 300+ programs for all occasions with a color wheel of a million colors. I'm not a fan of flashing shit other than Christmas so it's on Blood Orange for now.

I came home to these around the front door. My wife got them to try them out... Looks like I will be hanging more this weekend...

Jellyfish is what we (and several neighbors) have, going on 4 years without any issues.

This is probably the worst time of year to buy, going into the holidays is their busy season, but this is the time of year that we had ours done. Install is quick once they get the brackets powdercoated and assembled. They had a pretty good selection of colors to match the house and trim. In AZ we used Level 5 Lighting, who is a distributor of jellyfish brand lighting.

While the OP’s quote was too high for my taste, this thread has me interested. I’m paying somebody to install and remove my Christmas lights every year anyway, so perhaps I can get a quote that works, especially since I’d have accent/security lighting the rest of the year.

i installed the permanent Govee lights 2 years ago. Super happy with them. We put them all blue when a LEO dies. Not super APP friendly but they are so versatile. It’s nice they have preprogrammed light choices or create your own. I put up 200 lf. We use them for most Holidays. You can set them on a timer but we haven’t yet.

You’d be surprised. Chiefs win all red. Election night red, white, & blue, Halloween all orange. Or you can put them to all white and dim them down.
