Tony, that's a great looking ride.
My unc put 18" truck wheels and tires on the rear of one Galaxie. They were tall and skinny six ply, and I don't remember how they were adapted to fit.
The first time I noticed this, I asked him why he had made the change. The answer was classic Slick:
"Ronnie, that's so it'll go faster. When I run up to Reno to visit (I don't recall the man's name), this old gal gets up and I let 'er eat. She'll peg the speedometer."
