I don't watch the news but my Dad told me the best part of this story was all the arial footage over the houses and the Pelosi's do not have solar panels on the roof.

In Canada, there are about $350k reasons + un fucking believable pension and benefits why a successful lawyer would accept a position.
I can't see the US being much different.

Locally here (San Diego, CA) salary is based off Supreme Court @ 90% compensation - I think (I’ll ask later and get back to this thread). That makes it around the high $200’s. Benefits aren’t what they used to be; however, better than a privately funded 401k.

Also read above… once your .gov the insider knowledge may “pay” better dividends down the road.

I think the perp "cocked" the hammer and then asked if the camera could get a good view of the cocked hammer. Then the hammer just started hammering by its self.

Its not his fault the hammer was loaded. It was just supposed to be a cold prop hammer.
