I’m looking forward to the RNC this evening.

“Falwell's former business partner, Giancarlo Granda, claimed he had a multiyear sexual relationship with Falwell's wife, Becki, which involved Falwell looking on while the pair engaged in sex acts. That report was published a day after Falwell released a statement to the Washington Examiner in which he claimed that he had suffered emotional distress over his wife's affair with his business partner.”

“Trump fixer Michael Cohen – who has since been convicted of federal campaign violations and of lying to Congress – helped arrange Trump's endorsement of Falwell. Separately, Reuters has reported that Cohen helped the Falwells arrange to keep private a set of potentially embarrassing photographs.“

Actually, Falwell now sounds like someone his party would endorse.

Are you sure? I did not see any accusations regarding "spirit cooking", homosexuals and/or pedophilia. 😂

After Trump's first appearance of the convention, CNN's first words out of the commentator's mouth??

Well, he wasn't properly socially distanced. Yeah, and they didn't have masks on.

What a bunch of LOSERS. Keep throwing softballs for @regor to knock out of the park. You make it too easy on him.

Actually fair question given my personal position on the subject. Not Christian bashing, Falwell bashing. For someone who spent most of his life professing righteousness, a fitting fall.

The reason for the post is to highlight the absurdity of singling out the behavior of a few and projecting it on an entire political party. It happens a lot in here and it's weak and counterproductive.

So you do realize Christians understand no o e is perfect. They also realize pastors that get too big and powerful need to be watched carefully and often times fail. Hence the massive distrust of pretty much any Pope. Hence, Falwell is not trusted by many, but is trotted out by weak people that think he is.

You understand this, right?

Thanks......
The misguided conduct of modern day evangelists, priest, and clergy have done much harm to the images and true messages found within the Christian faith. Their conduct only pushes "non"believers" further into their own false sense of righteousness.
Jerry may claim to know God, but it is a shame he never learned that it's best to never underestimate and turn your back to the forces of evil.... those that foolishly believe they are "better than thee" simply because they "claim" to be Christian or know God are easy prey.

In God‘s eyes every human is a low life scum bag and unworthy. Advantage for the Christian is when he finds himself before the hanging judge one day, The judge and the Christians attorney have an agreement.

Thats the kind of fucked up thinking that is detestable among the believers in cannibal zombies.

How does this tie into the Loving/father/made-in-"His"-image part of the story ? How does one reconcile that this perfect god created such a fucked up species. How can a father figure view his children as unworthy low life scum?

if you read a bit about it on your own you would likely understand he doesn't think those made in his image are low life scum but understands their capabilities and potential flaws and understands completely what self destructions their capable of when they get lost. Regardless of how flawed they may become in their freedom of choosing he still accepts them back should they want to come home to him for his love and leadership/support. It's all upon the individual to choose for themselves, the responsibility of freedom of choice.
Interesting to note what you respond and cling to. Very telling of you and your own choices for democratic leadership make much more sense to me now.

Because the father didn’t create them that way.
If your kids turn out to be rotten pieces of garbage is that the way you raised them?
Would you still love them? Would you try to help them?

Squeeky is just a typical lib, always blaming one’s actions on someone else.

It’s a mental disorder. :(

Bullshit...

Everybody is responsible for their own actions.

What I do recognize is choices are made based on prior experience and expected/desired outcomes. A deep dive into that is why i take the position on some of these discussions that some of you find so upsetting.

He’s also an atheist.

How they are raised is one thing, how they turn out can be something totally different.
Yep...pretty sure nobody RAISED a murderer but oh so many have turned out that way. Speaking of killary Klingon, did she speak at the dnc brainwashing party last week?
