Why? My truck is a long bed crew cab. It doesn't fit in most parking spots. I get it. I park out in the back 40 to avoid people and also so I don't get door dings. But when people do this I feel the itch to slap a couple of 4 oz tape weights to each of their wheels in random places so they get to feel the discomfort of being an idiot.

I totally get your frustration. I purposely park way out back away from idiots and to avoid getting door dings. Invariably I’ll come out to some clueless fucking idiot parked like that or right next to me!

Think about it, that BMW is doing the same as the truck. Eliminate possibility of dings by eliminating where others can park around you. And,usually, nice car next to nice car is safer than the alternative.

This very shit happens to me either in the 2500 or excursion. What really pisses me off is when they make me squeeze to get in. I'm ordering those weights

I always let the rear hang over the line, not the front. If they do bump you, they hit the hitch and not my front bumper. Then I don't mind if someone squeezes in behind me.

On time I was at the DMV at the end of an isle. My space had the little triangle in front of it (no parking). As I'm walking in I see some dude riding a mint green scooter. I shook my head.

When I went to leave, I was going to pull through. I put the truck in drive and somehow I saw a reflection of mint green in a chrome bumper on another car. I backed up instead. The dude had parked his scooter in the triangle, almost against my bumper, of a lifted truck on 37's. Thank God I happened to notice that reflection. It would have ruined my day.

BMW guy is an idiot for parking with his nose out so far in the driving lane. He's never even thought about who is parked straight across the driving lane from his front bumper.
I will never park behind a long truck like yours in a parking lot because I know your turning radius is slightly shorter than a football field
All it takes is for a long truck to have to back out of parking spot, with front wheels at full lock ....and the driver to not notice the BMW dumbass with his front bumper 6 feet into the driving lane.....and crunch.
