Nothing to do with the MRAP but, I as well have faith that many LEOs will say no. The problem is those officers will either be fired or resign leaving only the ones that blindly obey and don't care about the people.

Where I live the county Sherriff is a friend and is like minded. He has declared our county as a gun sanctuary county meaning he won't comply with our commie governor's BS gun grab laws. He also won't enforce mask or vaccine mandates. Unfortunately, when the SHITF it will be the feds doing the enforcing and they will bypass local LE.

This is the problem, most of the guys in my group of friends are LEO's, they are mostly veteran officers and they all say they would rather be fired or quit then go to someone's house to either collect guns or enforce vaccine mandates....but, and its a big BUT, there is a whole line of younger "woke" officers behind them in their own departments, that would happily obey those orders if instructed to.

Well they’d probably need this vehicle if they started doing that. 😳

I'd love to be able to buy a surplus BTR-60 we had when I was serving in the commie army in Hungary. I could use it for the local lakes without the need for a tow vehicle, or have 8 friends with me in it when the zombie apocalypse breaks out. ;)
14.5 mm cannon and 7.62 machine gun equipped. 👍

Was drafted liked it or not. It was mandatory 2 yrs service for every male in the iron curtain countries. Worse part to live under communist rule, back then, by their own laws, I could have been drafted any number of times until reaching the age 45.
First time it could have happened in 1968 when the Czech revolution rose. Hungarian army was put on notice. It fizzled out quick after the Russians put an end to it. CCCP learned its lesson from the 1956 uprise.
I was a radio operator in the service, assigned to the amphibious BTR or a Jeep [ GAZ ] with 40W transceiver and 10 meter telescopic antenna. It was fun running in the BTR during excersize on Lake Balaton, near where I was stationed. Our unit was located in Keszthely, not far from where the Russians had their military airfield. We monitored all airspace and had anti air craft installation. Hungarian troops were never allowed to enter any Russian bases they were installed with missiles all over the country.
ps; seem to remember a scenario when a pilot in a small plane tried to escape flying South towards the border and was forced down by Russian jet. Only one attempt that was succesful when another pilot flown near the ground, avoiding radar towards Austria. He made it.
Anyone here remember when a young pilot made it into Moscow near Red Square ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathias_Rust
