If you were in the market for a mobile home what resort would you buy in if the price was right? Ca or Az? Ex. Big bend, castle Rock?

I just went to my g/f's buddys pad at castle rock last fri and partied there. He bought a 2 bedroom for $5000. It is 3rd row back and has plenty of room. I am now saving up for a trailer.

A few months ago I would have said you'd be a dumb ass for even thinking of buying at Riverland, now not so much.

If they follow through with all the improvements they're supposed to do (no reason to think otherwise really), Riverland might actually be undervalued right now.

I can't believe I just plugged Riverland. wtf is wrong with me

Out of curiosity what more do they have planned?

Gotta admitt the park looks good.:)

On a side note if you know anyone giving up a small storage garage please let me know;)

??

My unit is right next to the northern bathroom and it is quite nice. They just built it like 5-8 years ago.:)

I don't think I have ever been in the restroom down by the horseshoe pit so I can't comment.

I had to do a double take or two when I took Paul to the store. They were enjoying the day. Invited them to the bash and they came down for a few minutes which was very cool.

I gotta say, the managers make all the difference in the world.

Gotta say I nere really had a huge problem with the old peeps aside from the wife attacking me about 1 second after my rhino came out of my truck bed and there 5th wheel blocking my view....lol:fingers::rolleyes:

The vibe is alot better now and the new managers are very nice. The park dosen't seem to have as much tension or gossip lately either.:):champagne:

I had a good time at RiverLand when I was there.. If I was gonna pick a park though I'd probably end up in Echo. More of a party vibe.. :D (That'll get the local yokles all bent outta shape :D)

Yes the North bathroom is really nice. The down by the horseshoe pit is pretty rough and needs a little TLC. Other than that they have done a lot with the park. Also with them putting in more spots and talking about clearing away all the bushes and trees to make more beach will be sweet.

Why slum it in Parker?:D Come up river to Needles at The Palms River Resort, bad ass pool, BBQ area, palapalas, game room, sport court, water slide, private beach, launch ramp and courtesy dock. Private indoor storage, convience store, ice machine and the owner has a huge home on site, this park is a true boaters/partiers park. Homes range from $70-$175K, fair space rent. Activities up the ass, in park poker runs, new years eve party, easter egg hunts, atv runs, etc. etc. Check it out @thepalmsriverresort.com

No knock on Parker intended, I'd save all my cash for a place in the Keyes.

Had some friends at Echo tell me an SBSO dep. came through thurs. and warned they were handing out 75 buck open container tickets on golf carters and making sure all cart drivers were of age (16). Did'nt hear what enforcement actually happened. Reason for increased enforcement was supposedly a fight over Memorial that left a guy in pretty bad shape.

Some of the older trailers in Echo don't have the clause that BLM makes the owner of said trailer only stay in it x number of months of the year.

River Shores and River Reflections are on Indian land, politics aside, no rules against gas carts, quads, rails rolling through the parks, space rent at Shores is from 230-300. Reflections is pricier but most come with garages, some up to 50 feet deep.

Indians have'nt caused any drama at either park in last 20 years, only change is they are'nt allowing room additions on the old trailers like they used to, and that's usually a good thing, some pretty lame additions on some of them anyways/lol fwiw.

I hope they plan on fixing the beaches they already have from spot 5 to like 15 is horrible just big chunks of broken concrete. Most of the new managers/employees seem really nice except the lady manager forget her name she has been a total b$tch to us every time we have dealt with her.

I would really be stoked if they fence in the storage I am always uneasy the whole time my trailer is there. my buddies trailer has been broken into a few times and heard a freind of a freinds weekend warrior was stolen from there about a month ago.

That would be awesome if they continued that board walk all the way down to the ramp and fixed that ramp too. Its WAY too steep! I fucked up my bow loading my boat since I have an old school trailer without a bow stand. I actually had to float the boat onto the trailer and hold it there while the truck pulled out.

And the fence around the storage..... ehh... whatever. lol! Thats the benefit of having a trailer that looks like a POS on the outside but kinda nice inside. lol! And $50 a night for a water front RV spot is a little steep. I would think $50 is MUCH more reasonable. Also, Im assuming that its because its on the outside of the bend there but, Riverland seems to get a slightly better breeze than most and is thus a little cooler (at least it seems like it to me).

Yeah, happened right in front of my place . The guy that got punched is a great guy and would do anyting for any of his neighbors including the guy that punched him. Dan just helped him get his AC working that morning. Oh yeah, the guy that punched him is a COP. And they didnt take him to jail! Gee, I wonder why? Cause he is in the COP CLUB! I guarantee if you or I would have knocked someone out and continued to kick them once they were down we would have gone to jail FOR SURE! Tons of witnesses, I smell a law suit.

The ramp isn't steap.....;)

Its actually kind of flat so you have to back the trailer way far in to prevent the nose from hitting the front pads.

Ahhh, people helping people.

Were they in golf carts or is the crackdown due to fear of lawsuit across the board?

Go into the general store at Echo. On your immediate right are an updated list of what is for sale in Echo and a few other parks.(sq ft, $$$, bed/bath etc):D Thats how we found ours in Echo. Denny is the guy who has the keys to the trailers. His number is on the list.

If you buy, tell him (Tom Echo G52) sent you. Denny usually throws down a kick back $$$$ that I will split with you......

If you call em they will fax you the list right away. I drove to Echo a few times over the past year just to drive thru the park and look at trailers. they will have for sale signs and the price usually. Dont pay any attention to the prices , most of the signs have been up for a couple of years. A lot are really motivated to get rid of em. Call Denny or Shirley @

RD

No. BLM concession regs prohibit renting out personally owned trailers.

Trailers owned by the concessionaire (the Park) can be rented out on a short term basis for vacations, or on a long term basis to persons employed by the park.
